i thought they made fun of triggers with kankri in that flash
it was more a warning before the comic that there were sensitive matters covered in it
or something

...well, yeah that's basically what those things areHilary Briss said:SiFi said:But that's pretty much what trigger warnings are.
kinda, but would you describe, like, warnings before a tv programme about strong language, violence etc as a trigger warning?

Maybe. Denizens don't always seem to match with aspects (i.e. Yaldabaoth has appeared for a Heart and a Time player) and maybe their presence is also determined by the type of session (i.e. void and dead sessions not having Echidna and Haphaestus even if they do a Space or Time player), plus the genders of the denizen and the player have matched up so far so that's another complicating factor for some aspects (like Void and Heart). But while Hemera is based on a sun goddess figure iirc, that forms a due with Roxy's night goddess, with their colouration invoking Prospit and Derse, which could easily be referring to the two Queens' rings of Life and Void, suggesting they are linked to those aspects. With Sburb, things are never straightforward, but I do think there will be more denizen stuff coming up. Or at least, I hope so.The Happy Mask Salesman said:So I have this other theory regarding the update, about a way for them to come back to life. Isn't Hemera, the denizen of life, on/in Jane's Planet? And she probably woke up when LOCAH collided with LOHAC. I'm not sure what her powers are, but MAYBE she could help?
has it? i don't think homestuck has ever touched the topic of rapeWalkazo said:The current Paradox Space is interesting. It's like, the before-trolls as Higurashi, or School Days, or some other psychological thriller manga (complete with Japanese dialogue and everything). It's kinda weird that they feel the need for a warning, tho, seeing as Homestuck itself has done a lot worse.
Also true - I guess trying to avenge someone isn't quite "heroic".Javelin said:rose won't die to the stab wound regardless because it won't qualify as a heroic or just death
she didn't really sacrifice herself for anything

Good luck. I would never read that all again. Not that I didn't enjoy it, it's just it takes up way too much time.Javelin said:alright it's time to start my third reading of homestuck
wish me luck
