Aww...I was looking forward to the competition. :(
It's just that I have a TON of homework over the weekend, and I want to get it done tonight or tomorrow. Maybe I can post it at like 8:00 tonight, but don't count on it.

Re: User Big Brother

Here's the challenge, for any spectators out there.

Okay, it's that time of the week again. And it's time to puzzle and puzzle 'till your puzzler is sore. Solve these five puzzles correctly, and you've move on to the tiebreaker. You all know what the HOH does, so I'm not going there. And here we go...

1. From high in the sky, a pair of aliens are observing human culture, when they discover a bizzare object. Perplexed, one turns to the other and says:

"How strange, the Earthling is opening a hole in a sheet of paper, and marking it with a line to show other earthlings where the hole is. I've never seen anything like it!"

What is the human object that the aliens were viewing?

2: Here you have a set of small paper cards, marked with the letters O, T, T, F, _, S, S, E, N, T. As you can see, one of the cards is missing a letter. What letter is meant to be on this card?

3: Imagine a digital clock; the kind that displays the time on it in big red numbers. How many times in the day will this clock display a time that has three or more of the same number in a row over the course of a 24-hour day, asuming that the clock is not in military time?

4: A man has been prescribed ten pills. Starting today, he must take one pill per day, but he must take them in a specific order. Since the pills all look the same, he has decided to mark them to help him remember the order in which he needs to take them.

How many pills does he have to number in order to remember the order?

5: A, B, C, and D all represent single-digit numbers. The following equations can be made with these numbers:

A + C = D
A x B = C
C - B = B
a x 4 = D

Find the value of each digit, and put them in a four digit number, ABCD.

I bet I only got three right cause I'm not gonna cheat like those people who use the internet
People could've cheated in the last HOH challenge, and almost everyone got 0/5 or just forfeited. I think we're safe in that regard for now.

EDIT: Is that lowercase "a" meant to be "A"?
Yes. I may have mistyped. I also think i bolded question 5, instead of italicizing it like the other four.

I got the last one just now pretty easily, but then, I'm pretty good at math.
I'm ashamed I couldn't get it. For taking Algebra it's pretty pathetic. I got to get in the groove of school again to do this kind of stuff
