The Official AH NEE MAY Topic

Also, Attack on Titan finale. I still think Episode 24 was the best but this was good still. Could have done with less crazy Eren though.

I'm going to miss my weekly Titans as much as I miss my weekly swimming boys :(.

I liked the ending and even though it was angry Eren heavy, it was a good place to tie up the series this year as there is a second season iirc.

EVERYTHING GETS SECOND SEASONS
FREE! GETS ONE
SNK GETS ONE
AND APPARENTLY SDR2 IS BEING MADE INTO AN ANIME TOO. (I hope they don't try and squeeze it into 13 episodes though as the squeeze with the first one meand nobody got any proper CD like in the games)

I went to my library, and frustrated that they never have the first episodes in a series, I picked up some random anime called The Complete Collection of the Martian Successor Nadesico. It includes space, Mars, and lizards. So, why not?

The new season has pretty much started now, so I've decided to follow along with the ones that seem interesting. I've watched the first episodes of Coppelion, Kyoukai no Kanata, Golden Time, Nagi no Asukara & Kill la Kill.

Kill la Kill is definitely well animated and pretty over the top but it could have done without the fanservice suit near the end. Coppelion was alright, pretty but the story is kind of slow. KnK is kind of slow too, but at least they aren't trying to explain every detail of the world they live in and instead they're just letting us pick it up as it goes along. Golden Time and Nagi no Asukara are calming though and don't have any sort of action as far as I can tell (Personally, I could do without the kneefish).

I've noticed a lot of people have been talking about this lately so I'm going to take the liberty of putting you straight. It could not have done without the "fanservice suit" near the end. It seems some people are incapable of reading far enough into the plot of things to understand the nuances of Kill la Kill and have simply assumed this was to show off some hot underboob to get the ratings going, but this is not the case.

The skimpitude of this outfit is a visual representation of the protagonist's willingness to dehumanize herself in order to ascend to a greater level of power, showing how mad she has been driven by her overwhelming lust for revenge. The scene where the clothes forcefully put theirself onto her shows the conflict going on inside her heart, with herself being herself and the clothes being her insatiable rage and desire for greater strength.

The message here is simply that the protagonist has lost sight of herself and there is no longer any life for her to lead but one of her journey for revenge, which will ultimately leave her an empty shadow of her former self.

Think before you judge.

Personally I think that's just thinking too hard about it but I can understand what you're trying to say.

I'm becoming numb to Post Anime Depression. It's less depression than it is not having anything to do until you start another anime.

A few months ago I'd go weeks without really doing much but now I just sort of walk it off and watch something on youtube in the meantime while I look for something to keep me entertained.

At least South Park is back and the guys who made Free! now have a new show that I need to check out.

I get that all the time.

The thing to do is try to get psyched for a new show before you finish the first one (AMVs and OPs are a good way to do this, since it makes you curious about what you're seeing), but how well that works depends on what you're watching. If it was a really good show, I sometimes end up putting off watching anything else because I just wanna bask in the memories...

So Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio is completely CGI and doesn't look like shit. I'm kind of surprised since most CGI I see looks horrid.
