Fun fact their are more than one Lakitu's in the mario world and they have proven that they are able to drive cars before
 
Ehhhhh....

I think having them playable in the Mario baseball series was pushing it, but in makes sense, seeing as baseball games need a huge roster of characters.

I think there are much better choices out there to have in a Mario Kart game.

...I tried to pick character who seemed likely that Nintendo would use. I can think of loads of other characters I'd like to see, but doubtful Nintendo would use them.

Sure it does! It's 7 characters, plus a baby character! That's pretty much "half" a character!

I'd rather see other characters like Toadette instead of the Goombas. Who they know can't drive or play Sports (except Baseball).. :posh: :posh:

Perhaps the Goombas could use their legs to steet? It seems probable that Nintendo could make them playable considering that they were even playable in the Mario Baseball series.

However, in my opinion I would like to see a few more characters (some veterans) to be confirmed before a Goomba has been announced to being playable.
 
Let's not get too off-topic; however, the veterans that I was anticipating are Toadette, Bowser Jr., Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi (only these two).

I'd like to see them confirmed before Goomba does.
