Alright. We have 1 blowout and 1 that looked to be a blowout but got a little bit close near the end. Nonetheless. Both Applejack and Dave move on. Thus all 5 characters in the Friendship is Magic and Homestuck series clinched into the 2nd round. No other series can say the same thing and none of them still has a chance to do it as every other series at least had one fall in the first round. The same thing probably won't happen in the 2nd round. So be careful fans of any of these 2 series.
Now today's matchups are somewhat interesting. None of these are highly popular here but they might have a fair amount of amusement. We have Geordi of Star Trek up against the Black Knight of Fire Emblem, and we have Alucard of Castlevania against Aragorn (If nothing else it's a battle between 2 characters that start with A and have 7 letters in their name...)

And what the hey, I'm not a Lord of the Rings fan but I don't think it deserves to have all 5 of it's characters go down. Frodo's up against Yoshi later on, considering this is a Mario forum. I don't think he stands a chance. LotR doesn't deserve the fate that the Sultans will likely face.

I would have thought Gandalf would have beaten Wario, considering he faced off agains a massive balrog, he has epic leadership abilities (shown during the battle of Minas Tirith), and Legolas, well, did you see him in the Two Towers? And in the Return of the King, when he took down that Oliphant? I hope Aragorn and Frodo both do better than this.
