GOT IT ON DVD!

Blu-Ray or regular DVD?

I'd prefer Blu-Ray; when you pause the DVD, it has awesome intermissions with Chris Hardwick, one of my favorite G4 hosts. Not to mention overall better picture quality.
What do they have in the intermissions?

And has anyone checked the GLaDOS thing?

Mainly trivia in the movie, cameos, references, and cool stuff like that. I remember one intermission talked about how the original voice actors of certain game characters reprised their roles in the movie, another talked about how if you stayed past the credits, you could see a Disney "kill screen" with multiple Leet references to old Disney movies, and another pointed out the main character of Burgertime in the background at Tapper's. There's a ton of them.

If you're talking about the part where Vanellope calls Ralph "GLaDOS", according to the captions, she said "Gladys" and it was in the kart making factory.

yeah but people don't just call each other random names in movies

or in real life, I mean, how many people have just walked up to you and called you Tiffany?

It doesn't have to make sense. It's just a random name that Vanellope called him.

That's too convenient, I wouldn't just say it was random.

I think they were referencing Portal, she said something like stepping out of the comfort zone, which would fit with GLaDOS because of what happens in Portal 2.

I just looked it up, there's a shit ton of 'Wreck-It Ralph references' pages with it, so I'd assume from how many people picked up on it that it's a reference to Portal.

Considering how stupid my classmates are, they call me random names sometimes. Chuggaa also says that when he was in high school, no one could get his name right and called him "Bob, Otis, Ed, and Jesus Christ". And of course his real name is often mistaken for "Emily".

In Vanellope's case, she's an annoying little kid while at the same time, being wholeheartedly good. It was probably meant as a way to annoy Ralph and show him affection at the same time.

I guess it was just a random nickname she called him. She says some silly, random stuff in the movie, though, ("Ralph, my man, my main man" and "Are you a hobo?" come to mind) so I wouldn't be surprised if that was just a random nickname she called him.

In a movie that has so many videogame references, is it really that hard to believe that she was referring to a popular videogame? It being a coincidence or a random name is horrible reasoning. 'my main man' was trying to coax and flatter Ralph into helping Vanellope. 'are you a hobo' was Vanellope asking a question based on his appearance and what she thought he might be.

Also, some lists of references include this:
GLaDOS from Portal (Used as a nickname by Vanellope to Ralph referring to "stepping out of his comfort zone. Incorrectly pronounced as "Gladys.")

Portal (Vanellope calls Ralph “grumpy GLaDOS” which is pretty great)
Yeah, probably. Idk, I blame it being nearly midnight here for my corrupted logic tonight.

That's kinda odd that she mispronounced it, though, unless she wasn't referring to GLaDOS, or the director/producer thought it was pronounced that way and told Silverman to say it that way.

That's probably the best explanation of it.

As soon as I heard Vanellope was a glitch, I thought of Missingno.. Than I found this:

Watched the movie yesterday.

I felt like it needed more depth or something. Overall, good though, I just expected more.

It has plenty of depth in my opinion. The only problem I have for it is that there is way too much focus on Sugar Rush and there are more candy references than video game references.

This is the first movie where I actually watched the credits. Well, besides The Avengers for the secret ending.

I always stay for the full credits after most movies I watch. Not only do I want to show that I care about the people that helped make the film, but a lot of times people miss a post-credits scene (if there is one) if they leave early. I also stay for the credits so I can see who the main cast was.
