Guys help

Is it proper Tumblr etiquette to follow someone back if they follow you even if you don't know them?

I'm gaining followers and I don't know what to do :buzzy:

Its up to you 7 times out of 10, I follow back.
Some people always follow for follow
and others like to be selective
I usually follow back any blogs which have similar fandoms/post cool stuff which I wouldn't mind having on my dash/I know them from other places.

You can follow whoever you want to follow

I tend to follow most people back. The only ones I don't are usually porn blogs or ones that don't post anything I like (which makes me confused because why would they follow me in the first place if we have nothing in common).
 
i follow people back if i like their blog, usually. if i see them liking a lot of my posts, i might feel more inclined to follow them back even if i don't really care for their blog so much
 
Same. I also follow acquaintance and friends.

Oh yay, I got http://www.tumblr.com/blog/athongmicwedgie back, but don't bother following it. Now it's just filled with shit art I drew and stuff I designed in my old graphic designing classes.

My goal is to become tumblr famous and use that power to shape the future of the site to my will, as is my goal with pretty much everything.

well i do pride myself on having an unquestionably high quality tumblr, but i appreciate your sneaky tactic of trying to fool anton into a false sense of security
 
I probably don't have many followers because I don't cater to this season's current fandoms, and I've also only been active on there for maybe 2 weeks. Greatness takes time.
 
I made a gif of Mr. Peabody in the new movie because I thought it was cute and suddenly hordes of 14 year olds were reblogging the shit out of it because apparently there's a huge fandom about it. A ton of Frozen-themed blogs Liked it as well.
