i've tried doing that, she gives you a warning before you can proceed (they're only worth 150 bells anyway)
Even when selling multiple items?
yep so don't worry
Um, no, there's no indication that you're about to sell a tool. You can accidentally mis-select a tool, proceed, and don't even realize you sold it until after you saved it...

are you selecting a silver tool or a golden tool because there is absolutely an indication if you try to sell the latter

most silver items can definitely be sold, i thought you were talking about gold items soz

although I'm not sure if the silver watering can is able to be sold, it seems to be a one-time exclusive item just like the golden items

i haven't gotten it yet so i can't check
^

most silver items can be rebought from the museum aside from the silver slingshot (which you can multiples of anyway) and the silver watering can, so it makes sense for the game to allow silver items to be sold without a warning first. however, if the silver watering can can only be obtained once then I agree that it's really stupid for there not to be a warning before you sell it

again I haven't gotten the silver watering can so I can't check

It's silver.

What's the indication?

Also, how do I get the furniture Nintendo's advertising about (I got a letter regarding the carp banner)?

welp retail's closed for me atm so i'll get a picture of it later

it's just something along the lines of "you have an extremely rare item mixed in here are you absolutely sure you want to continue selling >no >yes"

Also, how do I get the furniture Nintendo's advertising about (I got a letter regarding the carp banner)?
have you gone to the post office and selected "ask about a present" or something like that? usually special items are distributed through there or delivered directly to your house

you guys are lucky you're getting region-exclusive furniture distributed via spotpass, we're still getting the cherry blossom clock

On an unrelated note I've decided to try obtaining every single piece of island furniture since I haven't already

wish me luck

Wait, does time-traveling affect this or...? I mean, my game's in January, but that's because BabyLuigiOnFire was trying to catch a single deep-sea organism to 100% and she didn't feel like waiting until winter again to catch it.

Good luck. It's going to take a while in real time. A real long while unless you're very lucky.

nah they're distributed in real-time

it's just the pieces of furniture they distribute vary by region and afaik the US is receiving japan-exclusive furniture for a while

whereas for australia they're just recycling furniture from the first few spotpass distributions ;~;

Geez, you'd think each region would have something new to get, but I guess they don't have equal treatment. Obviously, I just started using Spotpass, so I don't know the schedules and stuff for those distributed items.

they're usually on a month-by-month schedule

on that note, having region-exclusive furniture in the first place is a huge pain because there's some really cool furniture in each region that other regions can't even access yet alone purchase. the 7-Eleven Set, for instance

man i want that so badly

To be honest I've barely used the Spotpass feature, maybe I should bother to pick up the game again.

I'm 97% sure this is correct.

Me too. To complement my Mercedes-Benz karts I love using in Mario Kart 8.

Well, I don't have my silver watering can any more. And I won't be getting it pack. I guess I'll stick with the golden one, even if the watering animation is much slower...

hell yeah i am on my way to grow the notoriously hard to grow blue roses

this could take a while
it does, i finally got mine a few weeks ago after so fucking long

now i'm trying to produce more but it's taking even longer

Toy Chica said:
did you use fertilizer
initially yes, i had like 9 hybrid red flowers arranged in a box and buried the fertiliser in the middle, but after a while i didn't really notice a difference so I stopped doing that

just make sure that no other flowers in your town are watered aside from the flowers you're using to cross-pollinate, it increases the chance that they'll produce flowers the next day

yeah ive been watering just the orange and purples and ive finally got three hybrid reds

do hybrid reds also produce black roses? i had two and they spawned two blacks in consecutive days, resulting in me breeding yet another red since i thought a normal red had somehow spawned next to my orange and purple roses. maybe not

yeah they produce almost every colour, I have copious amounts of white, orange, black, purple, and pink roses around my house because it took so frickin long

it looks nice though :luigi:

one you finally get a blue rose though you can increase the chances of getting another by cross-pollinating it with a hybrid red rose

then once you have two blue roses you're set (i haven't gotten another yet :[)

I need purple pansies for my pansy-covered town

i haven't tried to create purple pansies yet, but they're basically the same as blue roses

you need to create a hybrid red pansy using a blue/red combination of pansies, then from there breed your hybrid pansies in the same way I've described above

I can't even keep track of anything lol, that's how cluttered my town is with flowers

idk surely there's somewhere you can place them? try isolating them in a spot where you're unlikely to run through and isn't cluttered with other flowers, i have this nice little cliff in my town which is perfect

also another thing, apparently jacob's ladder flowers speed up your chances of creating a hybrid if you plant them next to the flowers you're trying to breed, but i'm not sure if that's entirely true

I stuff them directly adjacent to Re-Tail and Cube so no ----- can move over them. I guess that's the best I can do for now.
