Make Your Own Costumes

If it's a costume, the character would have the same stance and animations as the main character but a different model. So if Shadow was a costume of Sonic, he wouldn't run like he normally does, he'd be exactly the same as Sonic movement wise but his model would be altered.

I didnt really read through all of the first post so sorry if i say some that youve already put down.

Olimar = Louie

Peach = Rosalina

Pokemon Trainer (Red) = Gold/Silver/Crystal, (Hoenn Boy Choice)/May, Lukas (Think thats his name)/Barry/Dawn, The new B&W Choices

You could pretty much do tons of things with the Pokemon Trainer for the background.
 
There should be an option to wear a literal costume. That way Knuckles could actually be in a Big costume (Knuckles dressed up as Big).

Which would look kinda silly. But I guess it could be funny.....

Nah it'd be hard to take the game seriously if they did that (Well you don't look at Smash Bros. too seriously anyway. But still characters dressed up as other characters possibly fighting other characters in costumes of other characters just would seem well... I think you can get a good idea what it'd look like)

What might be a nice alternate is Ninten for Ness. They wouldn't have to really change much. But I think there's enough differences between them to make a good costume.

Anyway, on Brawl hacking sites they have tons of good Textures & Model hacks. They even make their own stages. Kitty Corp: Meow Mix seems to be the best in quality, Stack Smash was the one I followed a couple years ago and Elite Smash Hackers has pretty much died due to lack of updates. dasDonkey has the best quality but I can't seem to get onto their website anymore

I just lurk around their Mario Wiki articles/galleries to come up with obscure costumes no one would know. (Also, some known ones though.) :P.
 
For Roll:

Regular dress (default/red)
Sports (blue)
Rainy Day Roll (green)

Heck, all of Roll's costumes from Powered Up could work except for Valentine's Halloween, Alley Cat, and Straw Hat.

Didn't like any of those... I'd rather have only palette swaps and color changes than whole new "forms". I mean, switching Pikachu with Raichu? The playable character is PIKACHU, not Raichu. Maybe having Pikachu with Raichu's colors, but not having Raichu as playable.

I did like Mario having Dr. Mario as a costume, however. Just because it's the same character without the hat and with doctor's clothing. There are no physical changes at all.
 
Raichu wouldnt have many physical changes, it'd still be Pikachu, but just looks like Raichu. Like the Tail would change and the color scheme and just that kind of stuff.
