I'll just ask at 4 Series at a time
Our Top 4 was Friendship is Magic, Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Homestuck
I suggest Rarity, Celestia, Luna, Discord, and Spike for FiM. Toad, Daisy, Waluigi, Bowser Jr., and idk... Donkey Kong?. For Zelda, I'm thinking of having Skull Kid return, and you guys can try to choose the 4 others. And as for Homestuck have Dave return. And add John and/or Jade and some new trolls in.

Zelda, I don't know, let me think about that. Maybe Girahim and Vatii (sp)
Dave, John, Nepeta, Aradia and Terezi should be the Homestuck characters. Vriska can't return I don't think Nabber.

Vriska can return actually. She went down the same round as Dave did. But Vriska can't get in if Dave is in. And vice versa.

Definitely Nepeta in the Homestuck one, and maybe Aradia or Sollux (or Terezi, if she wasn't in the last round?) and John and Jade, of course.
MLP: Rarity, Spike, Discord, Derpy Hooves, Apple Bloom, I'd suggest.
I don't like Toad, but he can come in anyway. Waluigi, Dasiy, Bowser Jr. and Donkey Kong would be good choices.
I don't know much about Zelda, but I hear Ghirahim or whatever is kinda majorish?

Also, I'd like to suggest characters for the ones I nominated if that's ok:
Banjo-Kazooie: Gruntilda (returning), Bottles (returning), Humba Wumba, Jinjo (subject to change if I think of a better idea), Klungo
Kirby: Kirby (returning), Meta Knight (returning), Magolor, Marx,Bandana Waddle Dee (see Jinjo) Nevermind, saw T85's post and Prince Fluff will work.
Spyro: Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Bianca, Ripto

I know Sweetie is popular too, but I doubt anyone will want to get rid of Discord, and Spike and Rarity are must includes.
