We're less then a week away from the end of Round 1 and things are really picking up. While Bowser Jr was never really in too much doubt for a while both Chell/Ghirahim and Palpatine/Sonic were right down to the wire. Chell eventually pulled out with a few more votes but Sonic still needed a nailbiter to squeak past Palpatine into the next Round.

Up next we have Gary Oak of the Pokemon Anime against Yakko returning from the last game for the Animaniacs. Also making a grand return is Meta Knight which got the short end of the stick in last game's epic Round 1 matchup where he was pitted against Fluttershy. This time he's against Hunter of Spyro. Lastly we have Salsa the Monkey of Mother 3 against Fry of Futurama.
