Why do people hate Luigi's Mansion?

I don't think so, but I haven't played it in like a year.
It doesn't, but it continues to count your gold collection even after you maxed out poltergust, which leads me to believe there's a secret ending or something. I'm not sure.
There's also the E. Gadd Coins on the profile screen, I currently have 1, idk how many there are..

Maybe it's a Lost Levels situation where you have to beat the game eight times lol.

So Sonic is completely off the table I'm guessing.

I've played Sonic Adventure 2 and Hyrule Warriors. I'll live. It's just that I prefer them not there, such as the 2D classic Sonic games.

Luigi's Mansion 1 does it too, except it grades your entire run and not individual missions. 3 does that as well, but I'm not sure about 2.

Eh, that I don't really care about. I don't like being graded on a mission by mission basis.

"I am not those fans.." :)

I actually throughly enjoyed Luigi's Mansion on the GC. It was one of the few launch titles. It was refreshing to have a Luigicentric game, the only one prior at the time being Mario is Missing (SNES).

yeah i can agree with you on that

Luigi's Mansion is also short. I guess because I'm used to longer games like Final Fantasy and some Mario games.

I think that's because Mario Games are geared towards kids, granted teens and adults love em too, but Mario games have to keep the attention span of children. Final Fantasy on the otherhand is more Teen to Adult in its audience.

I don't think that really extends Luigi's Mansion's lifespan all that much.

I think Mario games are just designed to be relatively brisk, in tandem with the overall theme of these games being simple, which also helps with a general audience. You don't need to add more hours than what's necessary (unlike in like Last of Us Part 2 where I was told it just drags on and on). On the other hand, I think children can enjoy Final Fantasy, but probably age 10 and up type, likely not younger since there are a lot stats, strategies, words, and other numbers children might not be able to grasp.

You bumped the old topic to fill it with hate?

Tsk tsk.

I think the first three Paper Mario games are exceptions. Even if you skip looking for secrets, badges, and etc those games are still lengthy, at least for Mario games.
