Hey, both could happen to the Piantas. Bowser Jr. got so fed up with them so he flung them to Starshine Galaxy.
 
Maybe erm.. Bowser Jr was having vacation on Isle Delfino again and he got angry trying to enslave the piantas and then their stupidity levels went off the charts then the smartest piantas were sucked into a dark matter portal to Starshine Beach galaxy.
 
Why would he pick the smartest Piantas to be exiled? Shouldn't he use them as slaves instead and flung all the stupid ones elsewhere?
 
But then again, even the smartest Piantas are only one IQ level higher than dumb Piantas

Baby Luigi is not quite in a Pianta suit. He's actually stuck in three different Piantas. That's nasty.

It's not that surprising. This GIF demonstrates perfectly the Pianta's stupidity.

I might post more GIFs of Piantas being stupid except 1. I don't know where my videos are 2. GIFs like these are extremely time-consuming to create. Besides, some of my Pianta stupidity stuff is funnier to hear with sound.
