Anyway, did I mention Shadow the Hedgehog 2 was just as much a Mario game as it was a Sonic game? It was Mario's first official appearance as a non-silent protagonist. It was based off a weird dream too. That also belongs in another thread.

Halfway into the game the cast of Mario appear. And they play a major part in the plot.
