Pichu follows all of these rules, so it is a baby Pokémon.Bulbapedia article on "Baby Pokémon" said:
- Can be obtainable by hatching an Egg.
- Must be the lowest form in a family chain.
- Must be able to evolve at least once.
- Cannot breed.
