Yoshis are cool because they're small and awesome. Bowser's got some brawn to keep him too ugly. Waluigi's an elf. 'Nuff said.
But Yoobs are Yoobs! And Shroobs are Shroobs! That's why!
 
All designs manage to fit each other. Except for Wario, his design will never compare to :bowser: or :dk:

Not really.

One has a stupidly giant nose while the other has a freaky suction cup. One has a ribbon, one wears shoes. They have different color schemes.

The eel in Odyssey manages to be even uglier, as the original eel isn't all that ugly.
