I still do not see why this game is being negatively critisied right now.

For one, THE GAME HAS NOT EVEN CAME OUT YET:Remember in Super Mario 3D Land, we didnt know about the Special Worlds, or half the game until November 5th I believe, which was 2 days AFTER Japan release, a lot of games give out new important information just before the launch, though Im kind of suprised that there wasnt even a mention of extra worlds in Super Mario 3D Land. I still wouldnt be suprised if we havnt even seen 2/3 of the content in this game yet.

Second, im sick of the ''Nintendo is just reusing stuff from the previous New Super Mario Bros games'' carap. We got the Racoon power up back from Super Mario Bros 3, a new and never before seen golden power up, and a brand new and never tried before concept (coins).

Third, if your sick of the same look and feel of these games, then too bad, just enjoy them as I expect this will be in the Top 3 selling 3DS games.

I expect this game to please me.

The only reason I posted that is that I still feel the same way about this game. It doesn't look even mildly interesting, compared to New Super Mario Bros. Wii U which I think is going to be a lot of fun. The golden crap is not really appealing. It might be new, but it's not the type of new to get interested on. It looks like Nintendo ran out of ideas and try to abuse a concept before to astronomical levels (topic in case: coin collecting).
 
Seriously. What. The hell. Is wrong. With COIN COLLECTING? Its never used before, its therefore original, and if Nintendo ran out of ideas, they wouldn't even come up with this, because it is a new idea. Maybe everybody just LOVES this concept and Nintendo will stick to it.
If you hate coins, then destroy your wallet and leave this topic. :mad:

Wow, calm down. I was just merely expression my disdain over this game. Not everyone thinks the coin collecting concept is a good idea. I personally don't.

I hope you realize how silly it is to get offended because someone shows dislike in a game you're interested in.

Coin collecting has always been in Mario, it's not exactly original, so the disdain shown by some is understandable.
 
It is his opinion and he is entitled to it, he did put up his reasons. Let's not start a fight over this game being "meh" or this game being "fun". I want to see someone ballsy enough to say this game won't be as good as NSMB or NSMBW XD;).

Well it is nice to have a small gimmick for once but there still is the platfroming anyway if you don't want to have any gimmicks, wait until NSMBU. Enjoy collecting coins for now.

It was a joke, I need to play it before I can say that. Although I really really liked NSMB anyway.
 
I personally like the concept. It actually adds a lot of depth to a game mechanic that's been pretty overlooked for Mario's last 25 years.

I don't know if it'll be good or not, but it captures my attention.
