I assume this is unpopular cause of general opinion on the game itself but I liked New Super Mario Bros U's last world. I always wanted a Mario platformer where you have to work your way back to Peach's Castle and stop Bowser's takeover there.

MKDS is the only post-Super Circuit Kart that I don't consider overrated

I think Mario Kart DS was ruined BECAUSE of snaking. I think if Nintendo hypothetically patched that, 90% of the game's problems would be fixed.

wario colosseum is my personal favorite track ever, and the fact that it's also perennially popular at the awards suggests that dd succeeded at at least that thing

i wasnt a fan of co-op racing though. i feel like the person in back basically just spectates most of the time. it would have been better if you could at least like... aim your green shells with the control stick or something
