Unpopular opinions about the Mario series

I like Snowflake Lake.

I think Mount Wario is just a little bit overrated.

I think mount Wario isn't Wario enough.

Mario Kart DS is the best Mario Kart game.

Oh my god your opinion is amazing.

I think Mario Kart DS is worse than Mario Kart Super Circuit.

I can't confirm this because I've never played Super Circuit but MKDS will always have a special place in my heart, probably for nostalgia's sake. I dunno, I've just always really enjoyed it for some reason.

Super Circuit has a special place in my heart because of nostalgia. It was the first Mario game I owned.

I kinda agree, but it's still my favorite track in MK8 for its aesthetic, music and track design. Being named after Wario is more of a bonus.

Interestingly, the track is named Descente Givrée when the language is set to French, and when translated, the translation doesn't mention Wario's name at all. As such, there are no new Wario tracks in the French version of MK8.

I like Bowser Time in Mario Party 7.
I always look forward to seeing where he sticks everyone for the photo.

I always put the controllers on my table and listen to the rumble they make. My dad once asked me if I was drilling something.

My favorite 2D Mario is, of all things, Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins. Mostly because it had something that is getting rarer and rarer in the 2D Mario games, especially the "New" series: Originality and creativity. The levels in the game are the most creative in the series, sure there's a spooky level and an underwater level like in the others, but there's also a level where you go through a massive house and a level inside a giant robot Mario. Contrast that with the "New" series, which has the same set of eight worlds in every single freaking game! Also, the villain is someone besides Bowser for once!

The only "New" series game I actually like is the first one on DS. It has actual creativity, for instance, the bosses are actually unique characters instead of just the koopalings every single flipping game. Despite their name, very little is actually new about these games. As I said above, there's always the same set of eight worlds in every game. There's always the meadow world, the desert world, the beach world, the forest world, the ice world, the sky world, the mountain world, and the lava world as well as fortresses, ghost houses and castles. The closest we got to actual creativity is the level in New Super Mario Bros U that's based on Van Gogh's starry night. I liked that level, I just wish the rest of the game had more creative levels besides that!

While of course there's much to agree on this post (I don't think that's an unpopular opinion!) I would like to point that the bosses in NSMBDS are technically just as unique as the Koopalings since they are all characters with their own name, appearance and animations which are not shared with any other character, nor were Bowser, Bowser Jr. and Petey Piranha new characters introduced in NSMBDS, I suspect that you wanted to say something else - e.g. that NSMBDS also had as bosses new characters not featured in previous games, unlike in the subsequent NSMB games.

The Quacker is my favorite bike in Mario Kart Wii.
I mean JUST LOOK AT IT

Of course I went with Baby Daisy for the example pic.
Plus, I like being able to bump into cones and such without much consequence. It's fun!

This thing is the Bike counterpart of the Cheap charger, which is my favorite MKWii vehicle.

man mk wii modes look stupidly stilted and stiff

its almost embarrassing

It's in the name to preserve 60 fps!!!!!

Video games were a mistake.

Paper Mario should be treated on the same level as M&L. One isn't greater than the other. I don't understand the disire for all things Mario RPG related I n smash to be based on Paper Mario. (Character,Stage, etc)

I do want Mario & Luigi to get more love in Smash. Paper Mario gets a stage and trophies, M&L just gets music (only one of which is remastered).

M&L characters to me make more sense as trophies than PM characters because they aren't canonically flat, meaning they would be a model and that's always nicer to see rotating than a flat artwork.

  • Mario Party 8 is the worst Mario Party game I've played.
  • I like the car mechanic in Mario Parties 9 and 10.
  • Hyrule Circuit is by far the most boring and worst course in all of Mario Kart history, closely followed by Mute City and then Big Blue.
  • Link (Who I now call "The Future Star of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom") is the worst character in all of Mario Kart history.
  • Baby Yoshi, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina are not cute AT ALL.
  • Daisy is my joint favourite Mario female character (With Toadette).
  • I like Waluigi.
  • I love the Olympic games series, but I don't like the inclusion of some Sonic characters. Mainly Sonic.
  • I find Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Wario, Baby DK, Shy Guys, Diddy Kong, Nabbit and Cat Peach incredibly cute.

And not an opinion, but I've never played any of the RPG games.
