For anyone that's ever played Link's Awakening, you're bound to know about all the Mario Refrences.

*Spoilers*
Link's Awakening was all just a dream that Link had. With all the Mario refrences, it's easy to assume that Mario, the Mushroom Kingdom, and everything in it are in Link's head. (This can prove why the Mushroom Kingdom is so weird) So if Mario is Link's dream, then that means Super Mario Bros. 2 USA is a dream within a dream!!!

The events of Link's Awakening were a dream the Wind Fish was having, not Link. I don't think it's really all that significant why there are Mario things on Koholint Island, but I know at least one person has tried to rationalize a connection between the two on the wiki articles themselves.

oh... this is kinda OT. but did anyone notice in Wii Sports Resort, the name of the cruise ship is Queen Peach? Is that supposed to be a reference to Princess Peach?
