-Three characters have names: Coraline and Misses Spink and Forcible.

But they're the only characters in the book with names. No one else is named.

So I've noticed they make a large emphasis on names in the book.

-Three characters have names: Coraline and Misses Spink and Forcible.
-No one seems to be able to call Coraline by her proper name.
-The cat claims that names are not important.
-The ghost children have forgotten their names.

The creepiest part WASN'T when the mother turns into a giant spider to me. It was when they go into Coraline's dream bedroom, and everything was alive. I've been so creeped out by that

Well, at least none of the characters in it went into threads about things they didn't care about to gush about Alien.
