The first Pokémon game I've ever played, was Pocket Monsters Green.
Back at the Elementary School, 2 years before anyone here knew about Pokémon, a classmate who was Japanese brought the game with him, and I was blown away with that game.
I've never enjoyed Gameboy games as much as I did with Pokémon Green.
2 years later, Pokémon finally hit Europe.
I was surprised there was no Green, so I decided to pick Pokémon Blue, which was the first Pokémon game I've owned.
Why am I telling you all this? Because I'm not sure this Thread was about "First Pokémon game you ever played", or "First Pokémon game you ever had".

I can still remember how my mother bought Pokémon Gold on a Polish Market, long before it has hit Europe (and long before it hit America as well).
I never realised the Cartridge was fake, until it actually came out in Europe.
I didn't know what "Japanese" was, back then, and the translations on that Cartridge were poor, anyway.
