I could quote BLOF to teach you (since it is in a locked thread I will put it in spoilers instead of a quote):

Go to GIMP, make separate layers for each frame, and rename them to say this: Name here (XX ms)

XX is a variable you replace with any number. I suggest using 100 ms as a base

Then, save it as a .gif. Another window will pop up. In that window, do the following:

Check Save as Animation
Change frame disposal settings from I don't care to One frame per layer (replace)
Check Use disposal entered above for all frames

Export.

Thanks I guess, but I don't want to make gifs just yet. I want to focus on editing images for right now. I'll work on making my first GIF some other time.
