Of course Nintendo is going to lose money! You think a game with "wide appeal" is going to sell more than a game with Mario characters in them?

That's cuz they're more so spin-off characters. :PBabyLuigiOnFire said:Well, I is mainly unhappy. Baby Luigi and Toadette don't appear too much, although Toadette's appearance in Mario Party 6,7,8 are saving graces.
BabyLuigiOnFire said:Ok, Mario Party did have its unpleasant moments, but there are many moments worth recognizing.
I know, those 3 mini-games with the control stick, were a pain in the @$$. Especially the "Tug O War", there's no point in even trying since you can't win either way.MnSG said:First Mario Party was a major ***** with the Control Stick rotation mini-games. Mario Party 2 fixed that.
Lol, don't worry, it's not crummy. I just don't think it would work out, but maybe Nintendo can make it work in a way I'm not seeing.BabyLuigiOnFire said:And the Super Mario Galaxy thing was my crummy idea, but I thought it would be cool to be balling rolling and fluzzard flying.
BabyLuigiOnFire said:I think that "wide appeal" translates to almost no unique characters. I would like to play a game where every character is unique from one another, not just painted blobs that physically look similar to one another, save for width, height, and color.
I agree; all characters should have the same abilities in games. It would be pretty stupid to give people stats in Mario Party, then mini-games would need more careful choosing, since your character might not be good at that mini-game.Wii Sports Resort said:The problem with your idea is that the game will not be that fun and it's more complicated. What if Wario could shoulder tackle and steal items, coins and stars from everybody he passes through? People would fight over to play as Wario, and if you give alternate colors for every character, it will be even more complicated. I like the way it was in every game, which everybody had the same abilities.

That wasn't her point.
Miis feel like templates with different faces. Mario characters, in contrast, have body features in them, like height, facial features, clothing, shape, etc. They also animate differently. Aesthetically, Mario characters have more identity compared to Miis.
