Alright, this is it. It's been over two months since Forum's Choice V began. We started with 120 characters, but over six rounds, 118 of them have fallen. We are now down to our final two - Severus Snape and Batman. Let's take a quick - and probably boring - look at their journey.
Severus Snape
Harry Potter was one of this game's new series and was nominated by RandomYoshi. Snape was one of the five characters nominated from this series, along with Harry himself, Hagrid, Remus Lupin, and Ron Weasley. In the first round, Snape was up against Coo of Kirby. Snape won fairly easily, beating Coo by four votes. Harry and Hagrid also won their matches easily, beating Administrator from TF2 and Diomedes from The Iliad. However, Ron and Lupin's matches were not so easy. Ron lost to Edd of Ed, Edd n Eddy by three votes, and Lupin lost to Matlock by a single vote.
In round two, Snape got the easiest match of the three, beating Daggett of The Angry Beavers five votes to one. Hagrid's wasn't that hard either - he beat Shi-Long-Lang of Ace Attorney by three votes. Harry had the hardest match, against Birdo of Mario. But he managed to win by a single vote. In round three, Snape was close to being eliminated. He was against K.K. Slider of Animal Crossing, and the match went into overtime. On the second day, Snape defeated K.K. by two votes. Later, Harry beat Dangan Ronpa's Aoi by three votes, while Hagrid beat the Pokemon Anime's James by one vote.
In round four, Harry and Snape ended up having to take on each other. Snape won the match easy, beating the title character by five votes. Hagrid's match was also much easier than his last, beating Star Wars' Count Dooku by four votes. In the quarterfinals, however, Hagrid lost by three votes - and to Snape's opponent in the finals, Batman. Snape himself managed to beat Star Wars' Darth Maul by three votes, and became the last Harry Potter character. In the semifinals, Snape faced yet another Star Wars character, Boba Fett. Snape won by three votes, landing him a spot in the championship.
Batman
Neptune nominated Batman as the final series for the edition of Forum's Choice. Later, the nomination was changed to DC at the request of several others and at Neptune's agreement. Batman was still nominated, along with Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Bane. Batman faced Spongebob in the first round, and won very easily, receiving eight votes while the Sponge only got one. Superman beat Mr. Krabs, Spongebob, by one vote in a much closer match, and Green Lantern won against judge Morrison Waite by five votes. However, The Flash lost to MLP's Zecora, and Bane lost to Darth Maul, both by three votes.
In round two, Superman and Batman had their matche on the same day. Batman beat his opponent, Fox of Star Fox, by four votes, but Superman fell to Kirby's Bandana Waddle Dee by six votes. Green Lantern later faced off against Count Dooku and went into overtime, but fell by one vote in the second day, leaving Batman as the only DC rep. In the third round, he fought Edd. He won fairly easily, winning by four votes. His match in round four was against Espio of Sonic. This was Batman's first really difficult match, but he won by a single vote.
In the quarterfinals, Batman went up against Hagrid, and beat him by three votes, as previously said. In the semifinals, Batman was up against Sylvester of Looney Tunes. A few people were surprised that Sylvester got that far, but despite that, Sylvester put up quite a fight against Batman. But in the end, Batman beat him by a single vote, earning his spot in the championship.
And thus, here we are. In twenty-four hours, we should have our champion. It's time for the final match of Forum's Choice V.
