Mario enemies that should return

Angry Sun
Amazin' Flyin' Hammer Bro.
Chargin' Chucks
Dino Rhino/Torch
Fishin' Boo
Round Goombas (SMW)
Jumping Piranha Plants
Rexs
Super Koopas
Pipe Lakitus
Blue Koopas
Yellow Koopas
Pile Driver Micro Goombas
Buster Beetles
Stretches

As you can tell, I'm a SMW fan.

 

[Gumball Machine]

Chargin' Chucks, Angry Sun, and Super Koopas are the only ones I can think of right now. Given her relationship with Yoshi, Birdo is now for the most part, in neutral territory. The closest we'll get to fighting Birdo now is in the RPGs, specifically the Mario and Luigi series.

Some enemies from the DK and Wario games would be a neat twist.

The Chucks from Super Mario World, and Shy Guys. I really wouldn't want any other ones back, I'd rather they incorporate new ones in new games...

I want Cackletta to return. She has only appeared in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and later in SSB Brawl as a sticker (but who counts stickers?).

I would like to see enemies and bosses from Super Mario Bros. 2 return in a game where you can pick them up and throw them. (Hopefully in 3d maybe? :D) I also want to see Yoshi Series enemies return.
