Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

Odd, I managed to transfer my Arceus to Y. Maybe it's because I used the event Arceus from Platinum rather than the North America Dream World one for B/W.

so basically, yes, you will have to pay to transfer your pokemon from previous games
tbh i think that sucks. i've never actually finished a pokemon game, but if i did have a pokemon that i wanted to bring across at some point in the future, then i wouldn't be able to without paying money for a feature i don't really need

If you don't need it then it shouldn't bother you. Don't worry about paying for something you're not even sure you want to use. For as long as it is an 'if', you shouldn't be concerned about it.

when i said "feature i don't need" i was refering to the bank part because i doubt i'd ever catch enough pokemon to be able to even fill the boxes in-game. should have made that clearer, sorry.
but you're right, it probably shouldn't bother me much, but it still seems a bit of a rip-off :P

I don't think it's worth it but I'm not paying for it so it's not my problem.

That's how I see it at least. I didn't like Y much anyway so I wouldn't want to transfer anything to it.

For some reason I can't transfert the Arceus and Darkrai I caught in my Pokémon Pearl.

From what I could tell, any Pokemon with an event ribbon can't be traded with the GTS and Wonder Trade features.

Right but I can't even tranfert these Pokémons to my Pokémon Y game. While I managed to transfert other event Pokémons like the shiny legendary dogs.

If they're not considered legal by Game Freak's standards, they won't be accepted. I was able to transfer all the event Pokemon from my White 2 over to Pokemon Bank, even after I altered their natures and IVs with PokeGen.

The best tips to take into account is to make sure that your Pokemon have a legal ability, legal moves, legal Trainer Memo information (Ex.: Kyurem can only be caught at the Giant Chasm, and it has to be first met at level 70 for Black 2 and White 2.), and for the event Pokemon, legal Trainer names, IDs, and ribbons.

Pokemon who have event-only moves (such as the Deoxys who knows Dark Pulse and Nasty Plot) can be transferred, as long as their Trainer Memo proves that it's a fateful encounter.

My Arceus and Darkrai are the legal ones you can catch in Diamond and Pearl with the special items needed to meet them. Even if the items were never distributed, they are legal I guess.

Anyone want my Lv. 100 Giratina from Platinum?

It'll cost ya a legendary I don't have. Those being Articuno, Mew, Groudon, Rayquaza, Shaymin, Victini, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Zekrom, Genesect, and Yveltal.

they never should have let you get exp. for catching a pokémon

it removes the point of defeating wild pokémon
defeating pokemon for exp is much easier and less money-wasting than catching Pokemon for exp

i think it's a good move

i think it sucks
also hate the new cries for old pokémon

Rayquaza?
Maybe, but there still is the possibility of a Ruby/Sapphire remake, so I may wait and just catch one then. Either way, I can't exactly trade because I'm doing some Battle Maison stuff right now. You don't happen to have a Zekrom, do you? If you don't want to give it away, then I understand.

well with the gen. transfer a r/s remake is pointless as you can still transfer them to the newest games (when bank comes out)
