Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

now lets debate how horrible hms are

well aside from surf and waterfall.

...and maybe defog? not sure about that one.

Fly: takes you to any Pokémon Center you've already been to. Huge time saver. Also, 90 power+95% Accuracy.

Strength: Not the best move, but it's good for softening up your opponents if you can't take them down in one hit and in some cases, it can do such a thing.

I'm not fond of Rock Climb due to how gimmicky it is. I hate having to fight Team Galactic and a Giratina with a Level 6 Machop in my party.

yeah but fly can be interupted by certain moves, and its a two turn move.

I really hate two turn moves.

Unless sun is out and solar beam will be used pretty often.

Strength is okay i guess but i usually use return anyway so yeah.

and yeah rock climb just sucks.

The problem with fly is that your opponent can just switch into a rock type who resists the attack.

Of course, the CPUs are dumb so you can use it against them.

Sometimes I use strength to replace tackle or something of the like.

True i guess, cpus are pretty laughable, unless its a 54 hydreigon.

I still can't find it (Cut HM)........

Am I looking in the right southwest? My loss of sense of direction has seemed to import into Pokémon.......

As soon as you cross the bridge in the backyard, turn left and go up. You should see the HM.

Okay, thanks! I finally found it!

....Though I wasn't even in the right place to begin with....

It's in some garden with hedges, IIRC.

So I'm thinking about putting a Kabutops in the slot where my Torterra was.

I love ol' Anthony, but I don't really have a use for him.

Well just beware of kabutops rather sluggish speed and not so good defensive typing.

Although if you do have rain on your team kabutops is scary as hell.

I like'm though so i say go for it.

Hmm nothing with rain.

This is upsetting. Can Kabutops learn Rain Dance?

yes.

Although its best for a supportive pokemon to learn it instead.

You can try it of course but it might hinder kabutops a bit.

I got to fight Team Flare for the first time...

That guy at the beginning...Lysandre... GameFreak should've at least tried to make him appear less obvious as being evil, at least early on. I mean, seriously, I had no clue about anything in the game, yet I knew from just seeing his character sprite that he was up to something.

Cyrus was easy enough to tell WITHOUT looking flashy, so was the leader in B/W, so they should've at least tried to conceal it a little more.

its a main pokemon game

its always easy to tell who the main villain is

its not surprising in the slightest to be honest.

I thought N being the leader of Plasma was a great plot twist

Oh, I had forgot about N, so that part's my mistake.

But they really should've at least tried not to make him look flashy as hell compared to everyone else. That probably would have made a big difference.

Cyrus also wasn't quite as obvious until second encounter, but still.

Yeah, I kind of have to agree with you there.

Also, you cannot disagree, this is both flashy and tacky

And they consider themselves stylish. Wow.

What? His Gyarados murdered my team during most of my playthroughs.

you must be very bad at turn based games or something, i crush his gyarados every damn time. His mienshao is far more dangerous.

also rin almost every team in the series really looks stupid in some way or another.

Great example is the team in 5th gen.
