Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

Why does "70 new Pokemon = Worse generation ever?"

Way to just judge on a game before even trying it. Heaven forbid that they don't have 150 Pokemon each generation.

I know a lot of people here find Generation II to be their favorites, and it only has 100 Pokemon, which is the [before this generation] smallest generation in terms of new Pokemon.

Plus, Mega Evolutions do take up some space as well, and I know that there is plenty of new features that will probably make this one of the best generations ever, and I'm very optimistic for it. Plus, there may be even more Pokemon that people don't know about.

I said that when Gen V came out (not here, I don't think, but you know).

I dunno, do you think they have the development time to animate not only all existing Pokemon, but like a 100 new ones as well?

Or perhaps they realize that ~150 every 4 years is going to reach a point where it's impossible to keep track of them all? Or perhaps more time was spent on trying to update game mechanics or graphics? Or perhaps they're listening to fans who have incessantly moaned about too many pokemon, specifically legendaries, each generation? Or perhaps some other mystical reason that we can't guess because we're not the developers? Or that they're stretching out what ideas they have left to go for a few more generations, even though it's literally impossible to 'run out of ideas' I mean come on people have said this every single new generation and also look at how many fake pokemon people have made like omg?

>dragalge
>poison/dragon
>weedy sea dragon
>state marine animal of victoria

this is my dream mon

Hang on, you mean Gen 6 ISN'T Legendary-obsessed? Please tell me it isn't!

And I don't want to know what they are, but does anyone know if there's a "little legendary" like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi ect?

Heck, has anyone looked for the event-only legendary Pokemon yet? And is there any DLC? Because that would suck.

If a Pokemon is only avaliable through DLC, I will fully stop playing Pokemon forever. And no, the Therian formes don't count because 1) they're forms and 2) at least you had to buy an actual GAME. You weren't JUST buying it for the Pokemon. Plus, they did that ages ago with Pokemon Ranger and Manaphy.

There's no way to tell about event legendaries, unless someone hacks their game. What we do know is that we only have three NEW legendaries in the game now. Mewtwo is obviously in the game somewhere, but I have no idea where. Plus the RUMORS of the legendary birds roaming Kalos.

Seriously? That can't be true. Ignoring the fact that there's been more legendaries each generation, they need Pokemon to base the anime movies around. Game Freak wouldn't ignore that. The anime team wouldn't allow it.

Plus, we need a little legendary. They always play a crucial role in the movies.

Every generation is making the game harder to complete the game by 100%. Mainly because of the sheer number of them.

Mega Evolutions don't count as new Pokémon. They're just like formes. They're just different versions of the same Pokémon. I don't criticize only the amount of Pokémon (I'm happy we're getting so few legendaries, actually), what I'm criticizing is the designs. I find myself only liking Delphox, Greninja, Noivern and Tyrantrum. The rest suck in my opinion.

eventually we're going to have to go into the quadruple digits to list pokemon if the franchise keeps going

i shudder to think

i think what they should do to cut down on pokemon is go down the list, and all of them that aren't either 1. cool-looking, 2. have cool moves, or 3. are good at battling can just be thrown out and their place given to another pokemon

like, lickitung. is it really necessary? i don't think so. same for pinsir, and...

i could keep going but it would take a while to list them all

How about Pokemon like Luvdisc, Farfethced, Delibird, and Spinda?

Keep Unown that Pokemon is cool

yeah, exactly. you've got the right idea.

although i personally think delibird's concept it kinda cool even if it doesn't work out very well. they just need to give him a new evolution or something.

Still baffled at Alomomola not being a Luvdisc evolution.
THIS

WHY THE *bleep* IS IT NOT AN EVO!

They're not really that identical when you think it over. In fact, Luvdisc resembles a heart way more than Alomomola anyway.

In my opinion, the series should end right at 1,000 Pokemon. For the best, really.

There's a lot of opportunities for new Pokemon, such as a Pokemon resembling a Cranefly or a non-deoxys alien pokemon or maybe even a paperclip

endless possibilities
