I do wonder if Icicle Spear works just as well for Mamoswine, since that attack never misses without any evasion and accuracy modifiers, and can pretty much bypass Sturdy and the Focus Sash. Sure at worst its combined base power would only be 50 (slightly stronger than Ice Shard), but three hits is roughly equivalent to taking an Ice Punch.

Icicle Crash also has a flinch chance, and consistent damage is better than consistent accuracy.

For example, the first Icicle Spear hit may trigger Multiscale, but afterwards, hits 2-5 will strike at full power, which can potentially leave Dragonite feeling sour in the end.
Also, if Icicle Spear gets four hits, that's more powerful than Icicle Crash, so in the end, it's merely a preference matter.

I've finally figured it out. All those secrets (like mentioning you can find Heatran in Jaune Plaza), they're not DLC, but they're not even in the third version. They'll just be released in the Global Link. After all, an NPC in Lumiose Boutique mentions the Discount Coupon before we even knew it existed. There's probably a whole bunch of items they'll give out through Global Link or even Mystery Gift.

So, I finally got my Mamoswine! You know, when they introduce a bunch of evolved forms to previously established Pokemon in Generation 4, I was a little annoyed because I thought the new forms looked stupid (of course NO I realized it was for Pokemon who had pretty crappy stats, so I appreciate them on that level). Mamoswine was probably one of the few new ones introduced then that I genuinely liked appearance-wise.
Not to mention, I like Swinub and Piloswine, too, it's a pretty cool evolutionary line-up, IMO.

i feel like i would really enjoy the goomy evolution line if goodra wasn't constantly dripping slime in its animation

it's nice enough without the dripping. not very original (it looks like dragonite w/o wings), but it's still nice enough.
