I remember it behaving like that in Mario Kart DS too, so I suspect all subsequent games also having it.

Nope, it was like that in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7 as well.

Pointless if you ask me.

I decided to pay up now rather than waiting for an EShop card and got the DLC. God! taxes are high, but it was worth it.
I love the tracks but I have to say Exitebike Arena is not that great of a track, and some what Hyrule Circuit. In my opinion, the best are Dragon Driftway and Mute City.

Why Nintendo? I work so hard to triple-star MK8 and you release four new cups and a new class... Now not only do I have to triple star the DLC cups, but all the others as well...

I don't have any more problems with it though, aside from the non-Mario content.

They where like giving a quick tour through history and I was like "MKSC-like retro?"

Then they zoomed in 150cc and it counted up. 200cc.

The smile on my face only kept growing.

Also the Animal Crossing course looks pretty neat. Seasons and day/night. Gorgeous.

EDIT: I've rewatched the new trailer on the official site, this time without Iwata commenting through it (it's different from the Direct one), and noticed the music changing between seasons.

Them small little details tho.

Everything looks good. Glad a new bike was announced and not three hundred new karts. Also, 200cc mode looks neat. Can't wait to try it out. At least, until modding comes along.
