also, the battle mode appears to have all the flaws of the current battle mode except it's in arenas. not sure how to feel about this.

They have no Balloons on top of them. Is another Battle mode returning?

I've seen the slots in the trailer.

But yeah, I'm not abandoning modded Kart 8 for this.

Bob-omb Blast returning sounds great, though! Hope it's executed well.

So that's why they had no balloons, it's Bob-omb Blast.

I was wanting for more battle mode options in general but if Bob-omb Blast turns out fun....eh

Anyway, my modded Wii U Mario Kart 8 is my definitive version of Mario Kart 8.

Probably not

But in that screenshot, with the balloon-less battlers, Toadette is holding a boomerang. I'm confused.

OH! I think it might be something like Shine Runners or whatever from Double Dash and DS. That might explain why King Boo has a different crown on. So you basically have to steal the crown.

I'm glad Waluigi's still in this game, not that I believe they will take him out. It's just that sometimes I was worried he didn't make it, after seeing one fanart putting another character over him (even though I guess it's not a serious one).

It's what you guys were screaming about when you wanted the Coin to be gone. Now they gone ahead and replaced it with another nearly-equally-useless relic from Super Mario Kart. ;)

Man I'd hate the feather in Battle Mode. It sounds terribly useless.
