I still don't get why DK is in a lower weight class than Wario, despite being bigger than he is. DK should be in the same class as Bowser.

Easy. Wario is such a fat man that he's heavier than Donkey Kong

Re: Mario Kart 8

Official material contradicts each other all the time.

Re: Mario Kart 8

From DK's article:

According to the talking microphone named Microbuffer that serves as the announcer for the fight against K. Rool in Donkey Kong 64, Donkey Kong weighs 800 pounds (363 kg).

From Wario's article:

According to the Wario World instruction manual, Wario weighs 308 pounds (140 kilograms).

I think it's safe to say that Nintendo ignores things like these and do whatever they feel like.

I still don't how having Bowser, getting rid of his fat, muscle, flesh, organs, etc. results in Dry Bowser, who has the exact same weight as Bowser.

Well maybe he's got really heavy bones?

i don't really see how it's a size class when wario is smaller than donkey kong yet still weighs more, or how roy and morton are the same size but weigh differently

To be fair, Morton is the biggest Koopaling, so seeing him have the highest speed and weight stats of all the Koopalings does make some sense.

What really disturbs me though, is the weight class that Rosalina and Waluigi are placed in. They're tall, but not bulky, so I would think that their stats would be in between that of the Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong; Donkey Kong's speed and handling, and the Mario Bros.' acceleration, weight, and traction.

I always thought this was especially strange in Wii, where there's no distinction between a cruiser and a heavy class. I've never understood why Rosalina and Waluigi were heavyweight, especially Rosalina because she's presumably around the same size as Peach or Daisy.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I really don't think it's that confusing. Can you imagine characters like Waluigi or Rosalina trying to fit in the medium size bikes? They'd be really scrunched up in those vehicles, especially how Waluigi was in Mario Kart DS.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Twininfinte will be happy to know that the Cat Cruiser is one of Daisy's used vehicles

Oh, and the computer also has double items.

Re: Mario Kart 8

That surely drives home the point that Daisy is a tomboy.

Re: Mario Kart 8

In normal races, frantic races, or shells only races?

Re: Mario Kart 8

should have triple Bowser shells

It gets even worse when you start pairing someone like Bowser with the Mushmellow. At least in MK7 and MK8, the body frame size for the vehicles change, depending on how tall or how bulky the character is.

Or since then, Wario really let himself go.

I'm pretty sure Rosalina is a least a good head taller than Peach.

After MARIO KART 8 Deluxe then we're going to have Super MARIO KART 8 Deluxe, then Super Ultra Hyper MARIO KART 8 Deluxe ': Arcade Edition.

I'd honeslty be okay with this. I think MK8 is the best MK and all it's really missing is a couple of characters, and maybe a few Retro tracks that would look really cool in this engine.

Re: Mario Kart 8

All Mario Kart 8 needs is a better single player mode and the customization that comes from mods, and paintjobs and maybe more things that I forgot about and it'll be the best Mario Kart ever.

Re: Mario Kart 8

Random part unlocks can be annoying at times, and I often think that there should be a use for the coins that you collect. Sonic Riders enabled you to use your rings to purchase new extreme gear after all.
