So on Bol.com it says that this game releases on 30 April 2014. Where they got this information from or whether it's true I don't know.

Sounds like a placeholder date to me. The site just says April now.

I guess in Europe, it releases on April 25 2014 and in North America, it releases on April 30. Unknown release date in Australia and Japan.

Australia and Europe are usually tied, but what makes you think this?

Re: Mario Kart 8

Hey, I believe hearing that the gamepad is used like a wii wheel in this game.

I believe you can use it for that too.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I hope there will be a way to disable it, or I'll find myself careening into the left or right sides when I'm not noticing.

Re: Mario Kart 8

And Battle Mode will be a pain because aiming shells with a Gamepad will be a pain.

There probably will be a disable function, this isn't the Super Mario 3D series where they basically enable both (Play the captain toad levels in 3D world or use the binoculars in 3D Land and you will see that you can move the camera with the analog stick/circle pad, but you can still move it with the motion sensor).

Re: Mario Kart 8

Weird, my sister never used Gyroscopic controls in Captain Toad levels. How come people are complaining about camera controls in Captain Toad? My sister uses a stick to rotate the camera, and I never noticed any sort of "shaky gyroscope" in those levels.

She probably was still. If you move the gamepad around a bit, it will move the camera.

Re: Mario Kart 8

So that's what people were complaining about when they said "Stupid camera problems".

No, they are talking about actual levels. It can be hard for them to judge distance at times. (Which by the way, I don't see how that is a camera problem)

This game's camera isn't bad in my opinion, Galaxy's is. It literally won't make me turn my camera in a comfortable position. I keep fighting it but keep getting the *buzz* *buzz* error sound.

Ah, but use the camera to judge the distance...

I thought the camera in Super Mario Galaxy was excellent seeing as how complex that game was.

You haven't played enough 3D games, have you? Galaxy's camera was ass. Why can't I control it whenever I want?

I have played a lot 3D games, and I have also seen a lot which had worse cameras (for example every 3D Sonic game). As I have already pointed out because of how complex that game was the camera is better how it is. Besides I am annoyed in particular by games where you have to adjust the camera manually all the time (Zelda).

Re: Mario Kart 8

I don't understand how a game's complexity determines how good a camera is....honestly

Look, wouldn't you be really p***ed off if you had to reset the camera on Super Mario Galaxy (or any other 3D game which uses a similar camera) all 5 seconds? In other ways, not having to adjust the camera all the time is an advantage IMO.

Re: Mario Kart 8

I would rather adjust the camera to suit the current situation than have an awful camera throughout

Re: Mario Kart 8

The reason why Galaxy's camera is in my opinion is because it prevents you from moving the camera in any angle where you the see the inside of a wall or the planet.

VVV BACK ON TOPIC! VVV

3D worlds camera is not bad in my opinion because the levels are not made in a way where it is crucial to have the camera in a certain position.

Anyway, how do you guys feel about Sprawling Savannah? I personally feel that in one of the parts of the level, when you are in the cat suit it (and I quote) "makes you feel wild and free". In fact, this level makes me understand how animals in captivity feel compared to in the wild.
