Yeah, Bowser at the center of the universe? The center of the universe doesn't even exist. And even if it did, it would just get pushed away from that center.

The only times I used the guide was that stupid green star in Plessie's Plunging Falls and the stamp in that Clear Pipe level in world 6.

YES. That stupid second star in Plessie's level. How the f*ck would someone know that thing is there?!
Which one is the second star, I think I got easy :P

The one behind the waterfall.

I think I went that way because I kept dying the other way and I figured it'd be an alternative route.

my biggest complaint is the fact that there is no wal-mart in the game.

You totally missed the point. Way to go.

The game implies that there is a true center of the universe. Like, in reality. EVERYONE knows that the Sprixie Kingdom is fictional. But not everyone understands that the universe has no center and Super Mario Galaxy kinda presents that as a fact.

EDIT: This is JUST like people believing the asteroid belt is freaking condensed with millions of asteroids only several feet away from each other making it a freaking haphazard zone when that's not the truth at all. They aren't born believing that either.

I wasn't even responding to you >_>

Mario games aren't meant to be educational. Well, most of them, anyway. If you want something realistic, go play Game Dev Tycoon or something. Besides, can you cite that EVERYONE knows that the Sprixie Kingdom is fictional? If people can think that Super Mario Galaxy shows there's a center of the universe, there's nothing stopping people from thinking that the Sprixie Kingdom is real, either.

I mean, I guess I should stop playing Portal now! If I play it too much, I'm going to think that some company in Michigan is run by an advanced AI that's subjecting people to deadly tests involving quantum portals.

tl;dr: people take creative choices, and who really cares? if it's harmless enough, there shouldn't be a problem

^No, you clearly missed my point. Don't reuse my quote out of context unless you're sure I missed your point (I didn't)

Well there's a clear cut difference between being clearly fictious and portraying myths as a fact, and sometimes, the media is to blame for us believing this instead of saying its the fact. Unlike the Sprixie Kingdom, which is clearly a fictional place, the location of the center of the universe could be far more real than your analogy, which is why your analogy is a poor comparison between an object that's clearly to be a figment of an imagination rather than something that is far more possible to be believed to be true ie center of the universe.

Again, this situation is the same situation many people believe that the asteroid belt is composed of asteroids only feet away from each other. Hell, even the Magic School Bus got it wrong in both the books and the TV show, and it's clearly educational fodder.

But you're right, who the ---- cares and why am I even continuing this lame-ass argument is beyond me.

I don't think the devs really care about scientific accuracy or the perpetration of myths as fact. They care about making games that will (hopefully) be enjoyed and from which they will (hopefully) profit.

Meh, story always sucked in Mario games anyway so whatever.

My favorite game makes no sense at all (because that's the point) and I love it more than reality :X

Yeah thanks for contributing to the discussion.

Can we please get back on topic now?

You're missing out on this game

I still really want to play this game. Like, a lot.

If I ever get a Wii U, I'll be getting this and Mario Kart 8 first, no doubt. No SSB4 because I'm getting that on the 3DS and don't care about inferiority.

You should also try The Wonderful 101. Looks like a fun game

Well you'll get them. Eventually.
