Apparently, this was teased at the end of the bonus stage after you beat the game (which I haven't seen, since I unfortunately haven't beaten the game yet...), and now it's actually happening! Dillon's Rolling Western, the awesome and fun downloadable game for the 3DS, is getting a sequel!

Seriously, for those of you who haven't played the first one, you should, it's just so freaking cool and addicting! This game seems to follow suit with what the first game does, beating Grocks and such, though now it seems that you have to defend a train instead of guarding Scrogs. Also, and this is probably the best part for me, there are more cinematic elements AND new characters join Dillon and Russ's group to help them out! The Squid Assassin is so genius I can't even begin to say how sweet that is...

It actually kind of irks me that not enough people know/care about the first game, though apparently, it was popular enough to get a sequel. Just like Pushmo and Crashmo. DEFINITELY looking forward to this!

I just want this game because or the Squid Assassin.

I never played the first one, but I suppose this seemed interesting. And if they continue with this series, Dillon might have a chance for a Smash Bros 4 appearance. (Plus he looks pretty cool to play as)

I have the first game completed, but I was never able to find all the items that existed; there's only one item that eluded me.

I always thought the first game looked really cool.

Maybe when i pick up a 3ds ill try it out then this maybe.

I didn't really like the first one, but the trailer makes this one look interesting. If they release a demo I'll be sure to try it.

Was this game like a tower defence game or a third person action game? I might be interested in downloading it.

*BUMP*

I finally got around to playing this game recently, since I finally beat the first Dillon's Rolling Western. It's just as good as the first one. It basically expands on the first game, makes it look a lot better, adds a bunch of new stuff to the mix, such as protecting trains and new rangers (who are awesome, BTW).

One thing I realized though... You basically go forward and perform attacks by using the touch screen... It's almost like Kid Icarus: Uprising, now that I think about it. Except here, I'm okay with it for the most part... I don't know why. Maybe I'll think on it a bit more...

Also, I feel like this sort of thing begs for a Wii U game, with the map being on the gamepad and the controls being basically the same, though I wonder if it'll be hard to get a good grip on the gamepad if they use the EXACT same controls... Though mostly, I say that because I want the Wii U's graphics to fix this problem, where I can't see Scruffles, mines, etc. until I get close enough to them. After seeing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, I'm sure it'll be easy to do.

So I finally got around to getting this after finally beating the first one and it really is a vast improvement over the original. It looks better, it runs smoother and it seems like maybe Nintendo is trying to really flesh out the universe in this one. If a third one gets made, I really hope it goes the retail route.

Also the standoffs you get into are fantastic. I love the fact that Dillon is so badass that he can get shot in the head and just shake it off like it's nothing.
