Most emotional video game you've played?

Bah, Giygas is overrated.

Anyway, the ending to the second generation of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon always manage to make me cry. And. It. Is. Awesome.

if we want to talk happy, Journey is quite a lovely experience.

Rogue Warrior. I cried when Dickbag and Hard Motherfucker died.

Mother 3, hands down. That game... just amazing and it makes me bawl my eyes out each time.
I've also seen walkthroughs on the Walking Dead, but I'm too scared to play it due to zombie jump scares. =P

The fact Lucas lost his mom Hinawa at such a young age, had his brother Claus disappear, then having to fight his brainwashed brother 3 years later to pull the final needle, who then killed himself due to Claus shooting an intense bolt of lightning while Lucas has his Franklin Badge... I can't imagine how the poor kid felt. :'(

This explains why Lucas feels sad in Brawl in the SSE.

I also think Earthbound is pretty emotional; not necessarily in a sad way, but Ness & his friends... it makes me so happy and the music is so beautiful too.

Batman: Arkham City

Joker's death, mainly, as well as the fact that the game is (afaik) the end of Mark Hamill's Joker-related voice work.

I never ever cry at anything in general (eg movies, video games) because I'm not that emotional, but I suppose the ending to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon made me felt a little bad.

Hamill sure went out with a bang. I really like Joker in this.

Rhythm Thief and The Emporer's Treasure is the most emotional game I ever played. The game has some very serious situations that occur during the game.

Warning! This reveals major spoilers to the story. Don't click this spoiler button unless you have played it or don't care
For example, Phantom R gets shot by Jean-François because he gave a fake version of the dragon crown (even though he knew Napolean gave him a dealth threat if he didn't give it to him) and appears to not be able to move. Charlie (Charlotte) tries to save him by bringing him into a hanglider with him and flying him to somewhere safe and finds out... *sigh* He was'nt hurt at all in the first place

Another example is how Napolean threatens Marie that he will kill her mother (Duchess Elizabeth) if she does'nt play moon princess and her mother tells her not to play it and she is only a stranger to her but, Marie plays it anyway and says that she doesn't care if she's her mother or not, she doesn't want her to die. Eventually Phantom R gets threatened that if he makes another move, he will shoot Marie. Her mother goes in front of her to take the shoot and Duchess Elizabeth is unable to move and Marie becomes very worried.

Another example is how Raphael (Phantom R) finds out that his father is in cahoots with Emporer Napoleon and Jean-François

My last example is a very serious one, Raphael and Marie are stuck in the Hanging Gardens which is about to collapse. Raphael goes into a state of shock and does not know what to do so he decides to give up but, Marie comes to him and plays a song with her violin and he also realizes that all of Paris is counting on him and that persuades him to move on.

Also, if you want to be at least up to speed with this game. Read my description and watch these videos "in order".

Rhythm Thief is a cross between a mystery game and rhythm game so, it's basically a cross between Professor Layton and Rhythm Heaven. The game has puzzles which all are based around sound and rhythm. There are also instances when you have to record a sounds around paris and play them to cause certain things to happen. For example, later in the game you'll find this guy selling tickets to a show illegally and Raphael wants one of those tickets. You have to record a police siren and play it to make him run away and drop the suitcase with the tickets. The controls of the rhythm games can range to using the touch screen, using the buttons and even using motion control.

...well, I think people have covered pretty much everything.

Of course, out of all of them, PMD2 was the only one I've actually played, so I'll have to vouch for it. I think the main reason is no one expected a deeper story in a Pokemon game, of all things.
