when brawl was still brimming with speculation, people thought young link, mewtwo, and roy would return because they were in the last game. but did they? That would be a no.
 
that still doesn't prove that Toon Link won't come back in any way whatsoever. sure, he's one of the least likely to return, and he'd probably be my first choice to go if there were cuts, but as of yet there's no proof that any cuts are going to happen.

Pretty well-varied roster here, if I do say so myself. Looks like Mega Man is going to be coming true in the next SSB.

And yeah, we already talked about Ridley - and me and Packy both agree that he wouldn't make sense as a fighter. You'd have to size him down awfully small to be able to fit in proportion with the other fighters. I know you said Olimar and Bowser were re-sized, but not by a whole lot.

i was going to bump this but ok

I'm now going to bold every fighter that got confirmed today. I'm not removing Ridley unless I'm given a better Metroid rep, though. Now that Villager's confirmed, I will have to remove someone, and since I'm no longer sure if Kirby needs a fourth rep at this time and I'm not really sure if he'll work well anyway, Bandana Waddle Dee has been cut.

I have played Pikmin, actually. Granted, I ragequit in it twice because my Pikmin kept dying, but I still played it. At least they sized him up reasonably - he's still pretty small in the game.

Also, hmm...I can't really think of any good Metroid reps aside from some of the bosses from Corruption like Gandrayda or Rundas.
 
I'll drop Saki to make room for her.
 
I'm not sure if 50 is really that likely anymore, so I dropped the five veterans that I find the least likely return to drop it to 45: Toon Link, Wolf, Lucario, R.O.B., and Snake. I was pretty iffy on that last one, though; I considered dropping Ike or Lucas at first but ehhhh.

edit: i'm not going to bother bumping this for now

I have decided to re-add Toon Link, Lucario, and R.O.B. for reasons. Lucas is now cut. Ghirahim is gone, as I've grown to think that Zelda will not go above four reps. Although I want him, I've realized that the chances of a new F-Zero rep are pretty low, so Goroh is gone. Zoroark was replaced by Mewtwo and thinking about it I don't know why I didn't have Mewtwo to begin with.
 
Updated, feel free to tell how much my roster sucks.

fyi I tried to make this more of a prediction roster than a want roster though after Rosalina's confirmation I probably shouldn't make that many more predictions.
 
Just made the following changes:

-Sheik and Zero Suit Samus are now separate
-Decided two DK characters are most likely not going to happen, and I think K. Rool's a bit more likely than Dixie
-Ridley was sadly dropped
-Pokemon Trainer replaced with solo Charizard
-Greninja added, I think Jigglypuff has the edge over Mewtwo so I dropped the latter
-I now find cuts more likely, and I think Lucas and R.O.B. are the most at risk so I dropped them
-Dropped Miis simply because I wanted to drop the spots to 45 and I think Shulk and Pac-Man (the other two I was on the fence about) might be a bit more likely
