I hope the next Mario game for Wii U

The princess getting kidnapped is like drama lol

it's drama the first time, but when it happens excessively it becomes part of daily life. Just like your cells dying.

I think there is enough drama. I think some people forget that this is a video game! Not real life.
do you realize how fucking stupid you'd have to be to think that was real life

I like how everybody seemed to read my last post and miss the fact that I was being cynical. I was mostly joking around, but also trying to say that there is alot of unnessesary drama over these games that are meant to be simple and to the point, you run from one point to another and pull the flag down, while playing as four different characters with different color clothes. And of course, I know it's not real life, but I'm somewhat convinced that some of you on this forum forget the line between reality and fairytale.

I know you were being cynical but I felt the urge to respond to your post anyway

No problem, please respond. I like input..... and snarky comments somtimes.

Uh, it's realistic for the staff to interest consumers. Not even to say that the present plot formula is full of bug and boredom, it's never a bad thing to see new and creative drama.

In a simple example, Galaxy and Sunshine have something differet from traditinoal SMB games. Sunshine might be alittle complex, and Galaxy isn't too much. We are not asking drama that more than an RPG game has.

The correct part you said is that some drama should be as simple as the gameplay.
However, you can't ask it to be same as the old formula from NES era, because the backstory of Mario world has enlarged during the decades, and new drama would be born alongside. It's irrational to reject those things.

It's not even that different: the basic plot is still "Peach has been kidnapped, go save her" in a fancier way.

It is, like all those Paper games did. I hate the formula plot, but adding drama is another thing.

We need to know what role Peach can be when she's not a hostage or player, but still the main heroine. It does make adding drama more difficult.

I just don't want Peach getting kidnapped at all anymore. I'm sick of it

I want this game to:

1. Let me take Yoshi from level to level.
2. Have the feel of SM64 with the visuals of SMG/SMG2.
3. Have Fawful someone besides Bowser as final boss.
4. Final boss needs to actually be challenging.
5. If Wario is playable, make Waluigi playable as well.
6. An objective other than simply rescuing Peach.
7. Cape Mario and/or new powerups.
8. No world map. Give me a hub world instead please.
9. If Bowser is fought, as he will likely be, give him the Koopa Clown Car.
10. Star World/Special World return, but no bloody Star Coin requirement for each level!!!

Apply this rule to Wario games first.

it doesn't have to be this way

I doubt Wario will ever be playable unless there's treasure involved.

So what if you get a Mario game with a ton of treasure?

Oh wait, New Super Mario Bros. 2 never existed

Well, that's abit contradictory. It's something like Daisy playable in DK games. Also the upcoming game is W&G.

Well we had SM64DS.
Rather than Peach really wants to invite Wario first before other close firends, it's more like the staff just put someone they wanted randomly. It can be more reasonable to put Wario in NSMB2, or we just have to wait for the next Wario Land.

No it's not. It's not like Daisy being playable in the DK games. Waluigi wasn't even created to be in the Wario games.

I don't mean Waluigi shouldn't be in SMB or other games. However, in either backstory or Waluigi's relationships, it makes more sense for him to be in Wario games first, if at present he hasn't been in any main games. In your word, Waluigi wasn't for SMB too.

It's nice to see more playable Mario characters in SMB. But without reasons, not all characters can randomly appear in Mushroom Kingdom and combat Bowser, like the treasure hunt example.

Wario was in it for the cake.

That could work, and NSMB2 is about coins, not treasure.

Coins are treasure.

And a bunch of coins with the gold Mario statue at the title screen: how is that not treasure? Unless the mentality of New Super Mario Bros. 2 seriously devalued the value of the coin
