The first matchup pits Star Wars' Kit Fisto against popular 80s band Duran Duran. Next, Ghost Trick's Missile takes on Matlock, one of Shoey's usernames and a returning character. And finally, we have Metroid's Ridley (who appeared in the first two Forum's Choices) fighting Wreck it Ralph's Sergeant Calhoun.

...And we already have our first two ties. Kit Fisto and Duran Duran go into overtime, as do Missile and Matlock. However, Rildey completely blows away Calhoun and becomes the first character to go to round 2.

Along with that, we have Dangan Ronpa 2's Gundam Tanaka fighting Homer Simpson of...well, the Simpsons. Kevin of Ed, Edd 'n Eddy will take on The Hobbit's Thorin Oakenshield. And Bart Simpson will go up against The Hobbit's Radagast the Brown.
