Game is officially titled Mario Party: Island Tour. :D

Also, I don't know if we can for sure say Rosalina isn't playable.

I mean, I'd think she'd have more relevance to the game being on the box art and all.

Well this Mario Party is on a stronger system on the 3DS so we will see more characters other than Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Wario, and Waluigi. But I distrust nd Cube, they are the same people behind the abomination that is Mario Party 9 where the character roster is SMALLER than that of Mario Party 8

Stronger system doesn't mean bigger roster. Party 4 didn't have any more playable characters than 3 and the former was on a newer system. They even have the exact same ones.

Party 9 only had 2 less characters than Party 8 anyway...

That was like, what, 10 years ago? When the Mario Party 4 roster was still considered reasonable?

Well we've gotten more characters that are regulars instead of the Mario Party 4 roster ie Toadette, Diddy Kong, Toad and adding characters seem like the norm in the Mario spinoffs.

Having 2 characters less than Mario Party 8 is still inexcusable to this day.

In Mario Kart 8.

It looks like Junior there is running around the board which gives me hope that he might be playable only to have said hopes crushed later on when it turns out that he isn't.

Diddy Kong isn't a Mario Party playable character.

And if the rosters only keep getting bigger there's going to be a point where it simply gets ridiculous.
 
Well with more power and capability, there isn't a reason not to add more characters to it. The Mario Party roster isn't even that big yet; they have around the same characters in Mario Kart Wii.

I know he isn't but he's a possible future candidate.
 
Donkey Kong is apparently absent if he never even got a cameo appearance; this will end up being the first Mario Party title to not have him present at all, unless something comes up later on.

Anyway, in terms of the characters, I'm kind of wondering if Boo and the Magikoopa may be unlockable characters. I would've stated Bowser Jr. too, but seeing as he's Bowser's son, I highly doubt that they'd want Bowser Jr. to be at the mercy of a Bowser Event.
 
They made Kamek be at mercy of a Bowser event, I bet they'll do the same for Bowser Jr.

The thing is though, Bowser Jr. is the Koopa prince, so Bowser tends to show compassion towards his own son. Magikoopas are just expendable soldiers (not counting Kamek), so Bowser would have no problems messing with his own troops.

DK will probably have his own board again, they wouldn't get rid of a character that's been in the series since the first game.

The Magikoopa can qualify as a "good" character against Bowser as well.

Remember that Koopa Kid also had to face Bowser's wrath in Mario Party 6. That's weird, but I can't imagine Bowser Jr. being involved in a Bowser Space. Maybe it should work like in the Solo Mode for Mario Party 5; if Bowser Jr. lands on a Donkey Kong space, he gets treated the same way Bowser treats all the other characters. If he lands on the Bowser Space... well, you get what I'm saying.
 
FINALLY they talk about this game! I was SICK of them talking about DT! Oh yeah, and I hope this game will have WiFi!
