The Official E3 2013 Thread

Yep, Sony pretty much officially killed the XBox One. Oh well, it was dead on arrival anyways, so that's not really much of an accomplishment.

Even today after MS' conference it had a chance since it was best selling on Amazon, but no way someone is going to prefer the X1 over the 100$ cheaper, more powerful machine.

i think PS4 just won this console generation.

they completely destroyed the xbone's policies, while making the console only $400.

Wii U [imo] won this console generation, if we are talking about pricing. For once Nintendo has the cheapest console of them all. :P

I'm confused...

Is this how they expect to combat used gaming? By telling their friends to lend their games to someone else instead of returning it to the store? Isn't that counterproductive, but not only is it still used gaming, but they don't make a single cent since buying a used game from the store is still makes some profit from the company.

Or were they mocking Microsoft?

To help get us in the mood...

How about we cherish that time when we first watched the first trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

I remember almost peeing my pants and having to watch that like every day for a month, and debating what I was more excited for, Zelda Twilight Princess or Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Although, guys, just to remember, EVERYONE thought the Wii wouldn't sell, and look what happened there. I also doubt the Xbox One will sell well, but history has proven people wrong before. Maybe there's a real niche for...ok, nevermind.

The PS4 conference was pretty awesome by default. If the Xbone wasn't such a disappointment I doubt people would love the PS4 so much. There was only one thing that made me hyped, and that was Kingdom Hearts III.

Although, with Final Fantasy XV, did they say it was a PS exclusive? Because it hasn't been an exclusive for the last few games, so it might come to Xbone. Not so likely for Kingdom Hearts.

And, of course, the Nintendo Direct has to be at midnight my time. Well, I guess I'll just look at it in the morning.

P.S: Hey, Sony, remember the Vita? I don't see that many interesting new games for it. Stop treating it like an older PS3, and start treating it like a handheld.

I thought the announcements in the Sony conference were pretty good. I don't think Nintendo has anything up their sleeves at this point, because of all the Nintendo Directs before this.

Final Fantasy XV looked pretty cool as well.

I also have to wait until midnight, not sure if there's a way to watch Nintendo Direct on an iPad or not. If there is then I'll watch.

as i spell out two methods to watching the nintendo direct NOW

1. e3.nintendo.com will go live in 55 minutes, go watch it there
2. for the wii u/ipad/etc, there's two ways to my knowledge

you can either go to a livestreaming website and watch it there
or you can go on youtube, and pause the stream for one second, hit play again, and while you might be a second behind, it'll play without problems

I gave up on finding a way to watch it on the iPad so I have the laptop ready to watch it on. But I shouldn't be awake at midnight so hopefully I'm quiet enough.

there's also a ustream app on the ipad
