9-Volt must be my video game counterpart.
I want to get Brain Age Concentration Training because I personally like the Devilish Training Activities and such plus it is the only brain age game that has Majong and Peg Solitaire (my favorite two solitaire games) and I really want to play the Bomb Blast game, Germ Blaster and I also want to check out the little extras such as music appreciation and the lectures Dr. Kawashima gives you. Also, I like its very cheap so there is a good chance that my parents will be able to afford it.

However, I also want to get Fire Emblem Awakening because I like the story and gameplay but I am kind of scared of the game being too hard for me due to me not being "the best" at RPGs even though there is a difficulty setting. It is also a little too expensive at the moment and I am pretty sure my parents won't even get it for me right away since they just bought me 2 nintendo select games.

Just to let you know, I am looking for something laid back that I can just play and relax.

FEA for sure. You won't regret it.

I have edited it, read it again.

Awakening's relaxing up until the point you screw up and lose/have characters die.

I plan on having it on casual so at least they won't die permanently. I also want to say I want to get something I can pick up very quickly and ask my parents for that won't sound unreasonable.

Yeah, if it's your first FE game, then playing on classic mode might be a bit challenging, but casual mode should be pretty easy.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.

It's got the mind puzzles and the stellar plot. Best of both worlds.

Or Awakening, it is beatiful and one of the best 3DS games out so far.

Miracle Mask is relaxing, isn't too hard, has amazing gameplay, amazing plot (THE FEELS), and there's pretty much no way to go wrong with it.
