Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS Discussion

I still hate that Ike returned so much. he is pretty much irrelevant to the Fire Emblem series and shouldnt represent it. I'm still hoping that Chrom, Lucina or Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening make it into the game, but I have my doubts. lets just hope that Nintendo arent going to be dumb.

Even as a non-Fire Emblem fan I though he perfectly represented the Franchise's move to Worldwide. Maybe he wasn't the first FE game to be released outside of Japan. But I believe Ike's game was probably the more successful at the time. And really boosted the franchise's popularity. From that end that's why Ike feels quite important even if Franchise-wise he's not so much. The Western Audience is familiar with them most then other lords.

And I wouldn't doubt an Awakening rep is coming. I think by now FE has earned the right for three reps.

I'm not a fire emblem fan but I'm glad Ike is back. His one liners were one of the best things about brawl. And he's such a disrespectful character. His moves are so fun to KO with.

I think if we get another FE character, it will be the player Avatar. I know a lot of people claim Chrom is more likely but I think the Avatar would be different since he/she can use magic as well as a sword.

Don't forget that both Peach and Rosalina's links were towards Super Mario 3D World, so it's not like two characters can't boast the same game.

Umm...that's from E3 last year, and there was already a Pic of the Day highlighting from the Wii U version of characters being mirrored.

And there is a thing called Beta Elements, where the game will have changes before it reaches it's final version. That video is a year old, and a lot of changes have already been made to the game.

there's no way they'll go with the avatar

for one, the avatar has no set appearance! for another, chrom is much more iconic and would be more likely even though i'd much rather see lucina (or henry, or cherche, etc.)
