lol, I didn't really get into the Mario RPGs until the Wii era, when I played TTYD (GC game yeah, I was late lol) and later SS. I had seen PIT in Walmart when buying Mario Galaxy though.

Dude, they advertise the rpgs about as much as anything else. All you are doing is reaching for excuses to ignore the fact that the rpgs just aren't as popular as the rest of the series. Why? Because rpgs in general aren't as popular as more action focused games like platformers, shooters, racers, etc etc.
