I'm actually quite offended Luigi got no spotlight in his trailer. Red, blue yellow.

It was about the primary colours though.

Well DK doesn't look creepy and weird as *bleep*. Pac-Man should not have teeth.

My point is that characters always look ugly with those eyes and that grin, it's not exclusive to new design Pac-Man

There's a difference though, Classic Pac-Man wouldn't be able to pull such a look off. Or look plain hideous showing teeth at all.

I don't think it's THAT big of a deal to me

It's nothing compared to, say, Skylanders Spyro, DmC Dante, Realistic Bomberman, etc.

Mario is Nintendo's mascot, Pac-Man is Namco's mascot, Sonic is Sega's mascot and Mega-Man is Capcom's mascot. It's simply a battle of the video game mascots. Luigi is NOT Nintendo's mascot that's why he's not there.

If you're going to refute my "debatable" point with "no it's not" then I'm certain you've got nothing significant to back you up

But he isn't considered the Mascot/Face of Nintendo. It's supposed to reflect the biggest stars of each of the companies. And there's no Nintendo character more iconic or just as much as Mario himself. You don't hear anyone saying "Wow, I can make Luigi fight Sonic/Pac-Man/Mega Man!" nearly as much as you do for Mario

Dream Team: Go into the dream world where you play as who the whole time? Mario.
Mario Party: Nothing.
Dark Moon: Finishes before TYOL even started.

I can't remember anything else because it didn't do anything different to what they would do anyway. All it did was make those annoying "one time only" fans join just because he got a year.
