I have to admit. I am kinda intrigued with this. I'm just imagining a Mario Party game with the Smash Bros. characters, and in place of the Mini-games after every turn are events similar or even the exact same as Smash Run's where the event could be a Smash match or the race horizontally or vertically events.

Who needs Mario Party 10 with the car? We have BOARD GAMES in SMASH BROS.

It should be exciting whenever we hear more details about everything in the next Nintendo direct. I am curious what the board game mode will be like. I imagine it's a combination of Smash Run and Mario Party where the coins are actually stat boosts but instead of a certain amount of things you need to collect like how it is in Mario Party with Stars. The goal is to win the majority of the matches of each turn.

But for all I know, it could be completely different from that.

Though on a funny note, you know how Sakurai has said he prefers to see Smash Bros. as more of a party game then a full-fledged fighting game? Well this mode is certainly taking that to an extreme xD

Jokes aside, this actually sounds pretty interesting.

Doubt it'll have online considering Smash Run didn't (and that was on the portable version, which needs online more), though, so I wouldn't get your hopes up about that.

I have a feeling that after each turn, there'll be like a special battle (flower battle, Giant Battle, Mushroom Battle, etc.) or special challenge (defeat all the enemies; who can just the highest?) [basically every final battle/challenge in Smash Run] as you make your way across this board. Probably whoever has the most at the end will win the game.

If there is a bad luck space similar to Bowser, then I imagine it'd be a Master Hand or Crazy Hand space.
