Going through them all, what stage is this? It looks like a Yoshi stage.
Looks like Mushroom Kingdom U to me

The Wario Bike picture is Mushroom Kingdom U. I distinctly remember the stage being able to change to the pinkish clouds like those.

I did get the game on 10/3, and have done a lot during the past set of weeks. I've cleared Classic Mode with everyone, All-Star with everyone, and just recently, I actually cleared Classic Mode on intensity level 9 with Rosalina.
How speedy.

I've only done it with Shulk so far, though I was about to do it with Zelda (and honestly could if I tried now) yesterday if the Master Core clone didn't short-hop bair me out of nowhere. IMO, the hard part is getting to him without going down a level because you can be thrown in some ridiculous conditions (Exhibit A: those "team" matches) on the way.

I simply took the easiest routes in all of my attempts (excluding stage 5, where I may take a harder route if it means getting the Fighting Mii Team as your opponent; that team is the easiest, as the Fighting Miis can't grab ledges, and have no special moves). With Rosalina, I've been able to make it up to stage 6 without suffering any setbacks. However, Master Core did give me some game overs that warranted me to alter Rosalina's equipment. I eventually got lucky enough to conquer intensity level 9.0 Master Core.

At least the one good side for losing against Master Core is that you usually manage to collect more than enough gold to replace the 2200G that you've spent to play intensity level 9.0. So in a way, you don't really lose any gold.

Oh, no wonder. I haven't used the equipment in Classic Mode yet and always take the hardest routes in all of my attempts (except sometimes stage five), so that's probably why I don't have as easy a time. I'm fairly certain it does give you a greater payout overall, though, which is probably why I don't deviate from those routes.

Ah, the only time of the week I have class at 3pm is Thursday aka day of this direct.

Maybe I can go early tomorrow instead.

So we've got an upcoming livestream, and some new screenshots that showcase Ness, Wario, and Falco. That's a nice treat for us.

If I wanted to grind for more equipment, I could always tone down the intensity level to between 5.0 and 8.0. Besides, you can't get more than "5" equipment parts in one stage, even on intensity 9.0, and not all stages offer you a chance to get equipment.

Of course, in terms of character usage, Rosalina really has become like a trump card for me, as I seem to have an easier time against a portion of the higher leveled CPUs with her than with anyone else. No matter how many times I lost to Master Core, I pretty much stayed with Rosalina, simply because she was the reason that I even made it to Master Core in the first place; I probably wouldn't have accomplished that on the higher intensity levels with anyone else.

Pic of the day. Here's the settings menu for Rules. Comical pictures appear on the left when you go through the options, so I'll briefly introduce them.

Going clockwise from the top-left corner, here are the pictures that appear for Rules, Time Limit, Custom Fighters, Stage Choice, Damage Ratio, and Handicap.

zlCfzSkIxkkXDWJ8Kr

In the Wii U version, you can customize additional rules from the beginning of the game. Here are the pictures displayed for Stock Time Limit, Team Attack, Pause Function, SD Penalty, Damage Display, and Score Display. You can almost hear Fox's cry in the picture displayed for SD Penalty settings.

zlCfzSkIye8EgM40Qj

Yep, Fox's lovely, angelic cry with his new voice...

Also, all the pictures seem to take place on new stages. Which stages are Kirby, Charizard/Toon Link, and Yoshi on?

Charizard and Toon Link looks like they're on Melee Temple. So that's confirmed. Yoshi looks like Gaur Plains, but no idea on Kirby...
The Pause Function has been specuated to be a Wuhu Island stage. I know it probably isn't the case, but maybe it was built in the new Stage Builder. Perhaps you can use full sections of Wuhu Island! If it's just a normal stage though, then it also appears in the Handicap image.

Also, Coin Battle confirmed. Still waiting for Special Battles to be confirmed.

let's get ready to hype
Yes! I should be there!

Hopefully in the direct they'll announce some Wii U exclusive characters, maybe he changed his mind about what he said about making both systems having the same amount of characters

Pic of the day. The trophies from the Xenoblade series can be found mostly in the Wii U version. Here's Melia looking the other way.

zlCfzSkWOogV_yRvgo

I should play this game sometime...

I managed to beat 8.5 master core. That means I am close to overcoming intensity 9 classic.

I have 101/105 challenges done, but one of the challenges involves collecting all Mii headgear, Mii suits, and custom specials.

How many headgear parts are there? So far, I have at least 43 headgear parts.

The other challenges simply involve trophy collecting, and playing the Smash mode for 50 collective hours.

You can use hammers on the custom parts ones, that's what I did

For the 50 hour one, just do a 99-stock match as Bowser vs. Level 1 Jigglypuff on Boxing Ring and leave your 3DS on overnight for a couple nights.

Pic of the day. Here's what's happening behind the scenes in one of the secret fighter's shooting moves. The object being held is called an NES Zapper. This is an accessory which was released for the NES outside of Japan. Now, this image is edited, but it's a scene from the secret fighter's reveal video.

Wow, he's really phoning in this potd. Badly censored (right ear isn't fully censored) image of a reveal trailer that will be shown Thursday. C'mon...

At the very least, we're getting the direct in less than two days.
