This is why I'm saving my golden hammers until all the challenges are revealed and which challenges that you can't hammer so I can at least save 5 of the most undesirable challenges to be hammered before I use it on something that I could do in time, and there ending up being an even more nearly impossible thing for me.

I really wish that the harder challenges were more tolerable, as there's even one intensity level 9.0 challenge where you have to complete that intensity within 12 minutes with Marth. Sure, Counter may be helpful against Master Core, but you still have to get past the monsters that come before it. And of course, there's the Master Fortress portion of the battle as well.

Anyway, this game really overdid it with the challenge difficulty, as not even Brawl had that many absurd challenges; the only Brawl challenges that were Golden Hammer immune contained rewards that are affiliated with the Subspace Emissary.

Not to mention the fact that most of the rewards behind it are complete and utter shit. You know what's behind the Marth challenge? Equipment. Yup, fucking equipment. I have absolutely zero motivation to do this challenge because:
A) The reward is stupid.
B) The Classic mode in this game is complete trash.
C) I can't play Marth worth a damn.

But I know I will have to.

I already know I'm going to hammer the Classic on 7.0 with all characters and All-Star on hard with everyone when I see them (I hope they're breakable). Some of the challenges aren't breakable too. Like there's one where you complete All-Star on normal without healing, that one's unbreakable. But there's another one where you complete All-Star on normal without healing as Captain Falcon and that one is breakable, but there's no point in breaking it because you may as well do it with Captain Falcon to kill two birds with one stone. Same with Cruel Smash 8 KOs and Cruel Smash 8 KOs with Lucina.

I really feel like if I were in charge of making the challenges, I'd probably do the following...

120 challenges; 6 Golden Hammers; 12 Golden Hammer immune challenges

you still have a disgusting amount of "clear X with all morons" challenges though

Too bad these weren't in the 3DS version, I've done the latter with everyone and the former several times already.

They weren't kidding when they said the challenges would be harder, but I find them more annoying. They're basically "do hard thing, then do it again with a certain character."
Okay yeah, that's pretty ridiculous.

Far worse than the "do x with all character" challenges, they should've just stopped at the hard things and not padded it out like that.

It's way more tolerable to complete them on the standard 2.0 intensity level though. Clearing Classic on intensity 7.0 or higher with every fighter is just asking for a death sentence, especially since some fighters are just very lousy with how they fight. Likewise, there's those brutal Cruel Smash challenges as well. Just getting 4 KOs is hard enough in Cruel Smash, so there's literally no reason to be adding insult in injury with the character specific challenges.

back on the positive side

my cousins were over today and we payed together and it was super fun. i 1v1'd my cousin as villager vs mega man, which was really awesome.

@MSnG: What's even the point of a challenge for beating 100 challenges

It's basically just 1 less challenge to complete

It's just a throwaway challenge, similar to how there's challenges in Brawl and SSB4 where there's "Complete X mode with Y characters" and "Complete X mode with all characters".

At least those are actually challenges as in they challenge you to do something. "Beat 100 challenges" would be like making a challenge called "Beat every other challenge". It would just be tacked on for no reason.

It's basically a reference to one of Kirby Air Ride's checklist objectives, where you have to complete 100 checklist objectives; that objective is immune to free checks, and was always positioned at the bottom-right portion of the checklist.

Anyway, on a different subject. I have played around with the snapshots during the past few days, and you can actually pull off some very neat close-up shots at certain stages.

Do this in a Giant Smash, and you could get some more impressive close-ups.

Here's how to fix the difficulty problem with challenges:

1. Start the game.
2. Beat one challenge.
3. Beat two challenges.
4. Beat three challenges.
5. Beat four challenges.
6. Beat five challenges.
7. Beat six challenges.
8. Beat seven challenges.
9. Beat eight challenges.
10. Beat nine challenges.
11. Beat ten challenges.
12. Beat eleven challenges.

The "Get a Perfect on every Target Blast" gives the best trophy and I suggest you guys do it. I'm not even lying. The first two can be perfected with Ness, the third must be done with Ganondorf.

It's a Magolor trophy. There's actually more than one non-Kirby Super Star trophies in this game. Apparently there's a Galacta Knight one but I forget which challenge it's associated with.
You mean Galacta Knight from Kirby Super Star Ultra?

Just kidding! Did you find out which challenge?

Apparently, the challenge is getting all the reward conditions on the event matches. I only have two events left. Bet you guys can't guess what one of the events I have left is. :boshi: :yoshi:

Do you get a special reward or challenge completion for doing all of the events on hard difficulty? Y'know, so it has the red border around it.

Master Orders simply offers you tickets with different difficulty levels. However, some additional features may be included on the tickets, which may include making everyone giant-sized. Some tickets may even involve Home-Run Contest and Target Blast.

Crazy Orders is kind of like an all or nothing type of game, where you have to decide on if you want to continue pressing your luck with the ticket objectives. The more tickets you clear, the tougher the next batch will become. When you're ready to face Crazy Hand, your current damage will play a factor on how much HP you'll have; the more damage you have, the more HP you'll be given. Just be aware that even one failed ticket will end your run, and you'll lose most of your rewards as well.

Master and Crazy Orders might be one of my favorite new things in the game, they all feel really rewarding and challenging (especially Crazy Orders), and it's actually another way to get CDs @___@

Master Orders is meh, Crazy Orders is awesome and really fun with great rewards. Probably my favorite new mode in the game.

Because it's not providing new info anymore. The game is already out.

And yeah the 5000 gold is almost never worth it, just play classic for a while until you get passes

I ordered the Wii U bundle with 3D World, Nintendo Land and Smash Bros and Donkey Kong Country!! I should have it by the 15th of December so looks like I will be joining in on the fun of Smash!
