The first thing I did in SSB-3DS was turn it off.

i use it interchangibly with x/y on the gamecube controller
but on the wii u pad/3ds its so ez and feels right
having to press round buttons to jump feels dumb

The up attacks though, they're really annoying to perform with it on and when you're pushing against launch momentum you may waste your second jump which sucks usually. How do you cope with this?

in other news my kirby amiibo is level 46 and can kick my ass

I don't even know for the most part.

X/Y just feel so easy to use on the 3DS, I think it's because it's close to the attack buttons or something but in a better way than on the Gamecube Controller.

I've got jump set to X / A because it feels closer to GC controller. Then I've got spesh on Y and standard on B.

I dunno, it's way more comfortable for me.

Yeah my Villager Amiibo is level 50 and whoops me like 99% of the time. I found the most consistent way to beat her is to be on Smashville and have her stand on the moving platform because she always seems to forget to jump off it while it's going off the screen.

i asked the person at electronics today and she said to call her when the release date is confirmed and she'll try and reserve one for me and im like dude how am i suposed to know when this shit comes out and when ur even working

So I made another attempt at Classic 9.0 today, this time as R.O.B.

I didn't even make it to Master Fortress, died on the 4th form.

Tried again on 8.5, and actually somehow managed to do Master Core and Master Fortress without losing a life. I surprised myself.

Beating 8.5 master core with link was good.

I want to eventually aim to beat 9.0 master fortress when I get the Wii U version but it will take a lot of practice and dedication.

It's not just enough to beat it oh no. You have to beat it without dying once and then you have to beat it within 12 minutes and as Marth, and then with no customs. If you could kill all those with 1 run I'd be very impressed but chances are you'll be going back to it a lot or you'll fail a lot and not be able to gain that "one more try" moment because you'll be out of coins.
